I’m generally not a fan of paying RBs big money to be honest, I guess it only being a 2 year deal makes it less of a commitment. They’ll have Philip Lindsay for cheap over the next two years so by the time we need to decide if we want to pay him Gordon won’t be a financial burden.

I don’t think he’s a special RB but he’s definitely a nice addition, reasonably good at everything without being spectacular. What does make sense is that he’s an ideal complement for Lindsay so they should dovetail nicely. I love Lindsay as a pure runner but his size means he struggles in short yardage and he’s not a good receiver out of the backfield. These two things are what Gordon excels at so I’d imagine we’ll see a lot of Gordon in the redzone and on 3rd down with Lindsay getting 10 carries a game. This has been another issue with Lindsay, his size means you don’t want him getting hit 20 times a game by people nearly twice his weight.

The new OC Pat Shurmur really values receiving ability in a back and there’s been rumours the last few months that he’d want more of an all-rounder so I’d guess this is his call and he feels confident he can use him.

Been a solid free agency for us, got additions at positions of need. Could still use another CB and I’d love Derek Wolfe back but I don’t know if they’ll do it.

I feel that the lack of any buzz on WR targets pretty much means we’re all in on getting a WR in the first round of the draft. Generally don’t like the idea of going into the draft having painted yourself into a corner in terms of the position you need... good news is that they have two extra 3rd round picks, I think they’ll try to use one to move up a few spots and grab a receiver if someone is willing to move down.

**Watching him ask for my opinion, it was suddenly so clear. Skeletor, would never stop. He would never leave me, and he would never hurt me, never shout at me, or get drunk and call me a dick, or say my posts were too long and he didn’t read them. He would always be there. And he would always love to hear my previously unwelcomed thoughts. Of all the would-be NFL thread BFFs who came and went over the years, this man, this skeleton man, was the only one who measured up. In an insane thread, he was the sanest choice.**

 Well I still know very little so I'm always willing to learn more. Are people still keeping faith with Elway? On the Broncos facebook page people seem to think he's had his time.

My first season I didn't see us win many matches. It was like Newcastle United in American football form .

I mean he’s been GM for 9 seasons. He took over the team with the second worst record in the league with Tim Tebow as their QB. In 9 years we’ve won 5 divisional titles, 2 conference championships and one SuperBowl.

He’s not done badly.

Of course, none of that was in the last four years. He’s made a couple of massive mistakes in that period, the drafting of Paxton Lynch at QB and the hiring of Vance Joseph at HC. Those moves basically doomed us and were his so he needs to take responsibility for them. I’m of the opinion that the years preceding should buy him some time to turn it around though. Fangio and Lock will ultimately determine whether he does so or not.

Issue is that the Broncos ownership situation is a mess. I’m not sure anyone actually can fire Elway until one of the Bowlen children actually takes over.

He’s missed 9 games through injury in six seasons since signing with Denver.

He's only had two 16 games seasons since 2014 according to wiki, if he wasn't injured what else was he missing them for ?  Genuine question.

Played 17 regular season games last year, can’t do much more than that.

I know he had a couple of injuries in 2017 and 2018 that made him miss a few games but he’s never been someone I associate with being banged up a lot. He’s 33 now though so suppose there’s a higher chance he gets hurt but it’s not like you’ve signed Tyler Eifert.

As a player on the field he’s very easy to root for, good route runner and can still threaten teams deep. Think Brees will like him a lot, he’ll offer a lot more than the likes of Ted Ginn anyway.

Clowney followed some Titans players and a Titans PFF analyst on Instagram yesterday, also talks of a 2 year day worth about $14m per season. I still think we would go edge rusher either in the 1st or 2nd round in the draft as well, Vrabel will be able to move Clowney around and have him play inside next to Simmons and hopefully use Vic Beasley as a specialist pass rusher like what we tried to use Wake for last year when he was healthy.

He's for sure better than what we have besides Thomas.  They had to make a move this off season after the stats of last season; wasn't it something ridiculous like Thomas getting over 100 catches more than the second receiver on the team ?!

We haven't lost too much so we didn't need to make wholesale changes, but we definitely needed to boost the WR corp, get another couple of CBs in and bulk up at LB.  No idea if we're re-signing Janoris Jenkins, but I presume the cost will be too high.  No f***ing idea why we've given Malcolm Jenkins a 4 year contract to replace Vonn Bell either, seems nuts.  Seems like a heart over head move.

The most Arizona Cardinals stat I can think of - their Wide Receiver racking up the tackles due to 15 years of Josh Mccown and Matt Leinart.

Tragically, it’s the one tackle he didn’t quite make that he’ll remember the most.

14:50 in this video.

(Actually, just go to 10:05 and watch from there. This is the single greatest play in the history of the NFL for me. So f***ing much goes on. The freelance by Harrison to drop into coverage, the refusal to hand it to a faster teammate, the amazing blocking by his teammates on the run back, the absolute running out of gas for the last couple of dozen yards and then getting dragged down right at the last but just crossing the line. It’s amazing, it really is.)

Very excited about the draft, they’re basically gonna run it like a shitty scaled back version of the 80s drafts.

Hopefully everyone is smoking fags throughout the broadcast.
