what the f*** has happened to us man, i never agree with geordiedean like but he's bang on with this - this is the sunderland road to ruin....loaning better players who you then don't sign, buy the s*** and squad fillers that never improve you and no one else wants

we're dead
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

Getting yet another player from relegated clubs.

Doesn't end well that policy
and now Tudor's gone down for Newcastle

Ryder f***ing loves denying stuff doesn't he. Bet he gets off on it in weird ways.
But...6 in a row. But...Calciopoli.

There's no rationale by any of it really is the problem. Oh he's cheap. That's it.

We've only got a half decent striker in because there's been groans about it for years.

People can't see it though and this is what f***ed Sunderland. They loaned players that they knew wouldn't sign permanently or had no intention to. They then were behind the 8 ball at the start of the next season as straight away they needed to replace these players before anything else was done just to stand still

It eventually catches up with you and disaster strikes we are then left with a squad full of s*** that no one wants

Signing players from relegated clubs is also a recipe for disaster

This clubs transfer policy is the absolute worst in this division by a mile the club is f***ed while Ashley is owner and I wholly believe we don't belong in this league while he's here we certainly don't even attempt to compete

I'm absolutely certain that they just pull names out of a hat for players because I'm certain that if Rafa could get who he wants the vast majority of our squad would be binned off
and now Tudor's gone down for Newcastle

Always thought he was canny without being great. Could work alongside Lascelles.

GD is right, and this is particularly applicable to us because as people are posting "rafa can get the best out of him". That's fine, but Rafa isn't here next season, so then what? we get some washed up, grizzled brexit merchant and we don't have any players good enough to pull us out of the s***.
 I dunno. I'm starting to think it was us.
Trump will do well man. Don't know why but I really feel this will be the case. Really hope it will come to be that way.

It didn’t work for Sunderland because they never had the sort of turnover to then improve.

If this was a short term fix just for a year or so while we were sorting ourselves out, fair enough. This is just s****.

Agreed. I always thought Mawson got all the praise because he never got yellows but I felt Fernandez was the calming influence. Even with Ashley Williams IIRC.

Standalone its fine, and in fact a bargain considering what a proven PL CB costs these days but what others are outlining about what happened to Sunderland does have a point.

Worried about the attack. Hopefully Ayoze's push at the end of the season was finally a breakthrough cause we are paper thin at that position which is a key position in Rafa's setup. Rafa is the only thing that gives me optimism for the season.

We need a left back more seems bizzare we’d spend £6m for him but not £6m for Bryan or £9m for n’soki

Again, not a terrible signing but boy are we tight c***s.
Sir Bobby Robson: “What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”

Surely the only reason there's "good" news on Fernandez is because Marlon Santos isn't coming.

Anyway, I'd prefer Federico. He's been in England 4 seasons, has worked with Rafa before and would at least be our player.

Problem is Rafa isn't here next season, that's the short termism of this sort of thing. He's probably a serviceable CB, but then when Rafa goes and Lascelles goes with him, we are stuck with him and no doubt he will become a regular.

Possibly our first transfer deadline signing after how many windows?
