Don't really know who he is, but glad we've remembered how to buy a player I guess.

Seems a decent addition on the face of it, hope he gets a chance to show if he improves our defence rather than just being a squad option

Absolutely. It'll all die down after this.

Thanks Mr Ashley! We knew that TV money was going to be spent! #AshleyIn #KeithBishopsBarmyArmy

At least we're saving money on shirt lettering going for Schar instead of Schurrle

Know nothing about him. Presumably a straight replacement for Mbemba and signed as cover?

Cant complain about this on its own (obviously the transfer spending overall is a different conversation entirely).

Dangerous from set pieces, fairly decent defender, about our level. Think Rafa would make good use of him here, certainly no downgrade on Mbemba other than lacking the versatility.
“We have a manager now whose eye for detail is incredible. The injury record since he’s been here has been phenomenal and that’s down to his meticulous planning, when to use or rest players. At the same time, he has a depth of feeling. It means a lot. Some people have worked here who wouldn’t have a clue about tradition, about Geordie people.”

Hopefully will come in and do a decent job if FL is seriously hurt. I’m very much in favor of this type of signing for our squad.

Decent signing if true. Much needed if Lejeune is out for a little while. Hopefully he can join the squad in Portugal so Rafa actually has a chance to work with him. Transfer window remains a shambles regardless tbh.

What are we getting for £3.5m? Are we getting somebody ready to explode on the scene for a bargain price, or are we getting an actual £3.5m player in a market where you should probably be spending six times that amount to get a decent player. #InRafaWeTrust
"What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love." - Sir Bobby Robson

Mbemba was out of favour, not a backup.

I don't care - it's still relevant to use. Obviously.
