Ladybird on Netflix, looked like my kind of thing but I'd say it was just OK. Nice message though.

  The university she's desperate to avoid is the same one I moved halfway around the world to work at.

I wasn't too keen on Ladybird, don't really like Timothee Chalamet that much

I like Brad Pitt but not sure his performance in Once upon a Time in Hollywood was Oscar- worthy

Uncut Gems.

Ffffuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Sir Bobby Robson: “What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”

Parasite. f***ing hell that was exquisite. Absolute joy to watch, screening was sold out and the audience were class proper into it.

Rocketman.  Was expecting a serious drama, but I think a camp singalong is more appropriate for an Elton John movie.  Taron Egerton was great, I've only seen him as a charver spy so wasn't expecting him to be that good a singer.

Memories of Murder.  Bong is one of the best directors around.  I like how Song Kang-ho is in all his movies too, reminds me of the De Niro/Scorsese partnership.

memories of murder is absolutely incredible, the ineptness of the korean coppers will never cease to amuse me but it's strange to laugh in a film like that

the real life coppers never let it drop apparently, kept paying people out of their own pockets trying to catch the dude for years and he was already in jail :/
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Can't get enough of Bong.  He also has two American TV shows in the works.  Snowpiercer starts on TNT in May, and Parasite is coming to HBO (with Mark Ruffalo rumoured to star).

That's the only one of his I've not seen yet. Need to check it out.

It reminded me a lot of Zodiac, but I think MoM came first.

Yeah Saoirse is great. It's a shame every interview she does is about how no one can pronounce her name

hopefully good but he's only producing according to wiki, would be happier if he was writing at least, guess he might be

need to try and get a copy of mother, not seen that for ages and can't remember it at all

Snowpiercer he's producing (and I think that one would work really well as a tv series, examining what daily life is like on the train), but Parasite sounds like it's all his.

Still buzzing from Parasite yesterday. It's insane how well made it is, don't think I'll manage to get again but really want to see it a second time.

Saw it in Tuesday, still thinking about it. f***ing immense film. Don't think I've ever seen a film that has literally everything anyone could want in a film.

Most best picture winners are forgettable, but in 25 years we'll be looking back at Parasite like we do at Pulp Fiction today.

Went for a pint afterwards and we were just gushing over it, literally every aspect of the film is a 10. I love that it's so perfect even the Oscars were like "we can't f*** this up"
