Pretty enjoyable. Good chemistry from the main two and the plot is canny.

I always find it funny when these types of films or TV eps have to explain themselves without just saying "Groundhog Day".

The Running Man.

Always think this is a Verhoeven film such is it’s tone. Still class.

Watched it for the first time in years and years a few months ago. Absolute belter!

The Rental - half decent. Canny ending.
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Avengers Infinity War. Generally have a pretty low opinion of Marvel films but this was actually pretty good. Very impressive visuals as well.

I stuck the grudge remake on last night when mortal and it was f***ing insane. Like a David Lynch film edited by David Bowie. Didn't have a clue what the f*** was going on but I'm not sure if that's because of how p*ssed I was though.

I mean that in a positive way mind, the film seemed quite fresh and well done for a reboot.

It was far more a homage to films of the 70s than anything related to Marvel or DC. And as such was brilliant.

He's been in quite a bit of s*** since Boardwalk Empire.  He was the preacher in True Detective.

Just watching random s**** out of boredom and this came up. I might be wrong, but I'm certain the interview with Liam Gallagher [0:22] takes place in the Birdcage, Stamford Hill. I used to be asst. manager there. That table was our end of shift/lock-in table.

f***ing memories, eh?

Edit: Thought this was random thoughts.

Had a double bill of 'Jojo Rabbit' and 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', last night.

Jojo was much better on second viewing. I enjoyed it first time but it seemed to drag a bit in the middle. No such problem with the second viewing.

OFOTCN gets better every time. One of the best films ever.

I watched that recently, excited because I remembered it being brilliant.

Who did we used to be?

Edit: Just checked. It was 1989 FFS. The year I legally became an adult, independent to make my own decisions.

Scarlett made me weep, it's a brilliant film. It took me a while to get Taika and when I did I realized I'd been dumb as f***. Man is a genius.

Likewise, I think it was Hunt For The Wilderpeople that really made it click for me, even though I did enjoy What We Do In The Shadows the first time I watched it, but it didn't really sink in like his others have since.
