Considering the train wreck of a production it was, it's amazing that it turned out so good.
Not one of the cool kids, and really insecure about it.

Kong: Skull Island.

Good fun.  The fight scenes were brilliant, I thought.  The humour, not so much.

Why did the helicopters fly so close to him?

 first one or maybe two you could understand like
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Noticed Wadjda pop up on Mubi and just got around to watching it. It's from 2014 but it's the first film shot in Saudi Arabia and the first by a Saudi female director. Really good little film which highlights a lot of their cultural issues without making the film revolve totally around them. Quite a delicate line for the director to tread for obvious reasons but she did it perfectly. I'll be keeping an eye out for her new film which was released this year, which seems to mirror in part the story of that young Saudi girl who tried to flee to Aus but was intercepted.

Worth trying to find.

My Favourite Year. One of my favourite films. O'Toole was a supreme comedian.

Tried watching it the other night. But it had no subtitles. Better start brushing up on my Korean.

Inception.

I thought I saw it when it first came out. But I can’t have, as I only remembered certain bits and references. I thought it was incredible and a real A list cast.

Yup, remember really enjoying it (though the free screening and beer may have helped ).

I got about 10-15 mins in and concluded that what it had to do to make it redeemable, couldn't be done.

Aye it was awful, and full of inaccuracies, they and Hardy would have been better off doing a proper full biopic covering his rise and fall, I only lasted until the end as I’m a crime/American mob history buff/nerd!

The trailers made it look like Stuber 2, without Dave Bautista.  Is it better than that?
