He's approaching Demba Ba levels of appreciation for me.

Double figures now for the season. Considering how many goals he creates with his hold up play and general battering of defenders, he's some asset.

Understandably struggled with the conditions today, but still came up top trumps.

Until the West Ham game, I didn't know he could take free kicks.  Stupidly just assumed he wouldn't have the technical skill... feel a bit stupid now.

I think he hit the bar with an earlier free kick, might have been the Wolves game.

It’s a difficult one though, I’d pay £15m no probs as 2 more seasons at this level easy, fit as a lop, depends on the price.

Best we've had up top for many a year, Demba for one season, Cisse for half one but this guy's overall play is fantastic and he has genuine quality in front of goal. He's scored a lot of different goals this season, the free-kick today, bullet headers, tap ins etc.

Seems to be really enjoying it here so would be a bit of a tragedy the move weren't made permanent in the summer. Think he's turned out to be a lot better than most people thought, myself included.

Our most important player. It would be crazy not to sign him.

It's important that we sign him as we know what he's about and he's done very well. No guarantee that another striker will hit the ground running.

We could get away without paying any money by giving them Gayle and Murphy (that's if West Brom want him), we might even get a few quid as well, though just to get the deal done I wouldn't be too fussed about that.

He’s had a really good season and is obviously a decent player who we should be looking to sign premantly. I wouldn’t say he’s a real goal scorer, but he would get ore goals if he played in and around the box more and our service to him was better. His game on and off the ball is probably more important to us right now though than just goals. He seems a good character too.

Probably going to get ridiculed for this, but he's as close a copy of Shearer under Sir Bobby as we could get.

His all round game is fantastic. Put pace around him and you're in business.

Personally preferred Demba Ba to Rondon as a striker
I looked into the eye of the Island and what I saw was beautiful.

Didn't expect too much from this signing either but when you really look at his contribution not just in goals and assists, but his work rate, selflessness and attitude, he really has been a great loan deal that should 100% be made permanent, hes earned it!

I'm not saying he should be our main striker going forward if we actually do want to invest, but hes definitely the sort of player you want challenging for a spot and around the club.

Everyone with a brain can see this. Unfortunately, the person making the decisions does not have a brain, and very much is fussed.

The reason it's not going to happen is because this will be Rondon's last big contract, so you'd better believe he wants the best he can get. Which is exactly when Ashley will walk away. Never mind if the terms are reasonable at any other club...
