Surely Ashley wanting cheaper, more-sellable young players goes hand-in-hand with improving the academy - which can cheaply provides young players?

Aye but if you buy promising talent, with a reputation in another country, your resale options are greater than signing billy Caldwell from Bedlington.

Well his greatest transfer success came from our academy - Andy Carroll. And he's probably dreaming of the day Sean Longstaff gets sold.

That would be the ultimate project for Rafa though. Not just buying average to good players and making them better, but actually developing youngsters from early stages.

Ajax used to have an amazing academy where senior players would leave and be replaced by younger lads who knew exactly what the football system was and what piece on the chess board they were.

Think that article is mostly bollocks though. There’s no new information in there, just assumptions off his previous form.

I think he’s very aware that his investment will be f***ed without Rafa. It’ll be right into June before we know what will happen.

So we're adopting the FM approach to player recruitment.

It would be lovely if we could maybe run the club to try and be good at football for a change.

Apparently we’ve now gone to war with Rebekah Vardy and are giving her grief on Twitter.

Which is exactly what the attention seeking airhead wants

A quick look at her twitter feed and one of her most posts is that we should revoke that lass’s citizenship. If you ever needed proof that she’s nothing but a brainless attention seeker who wouldn’t have got anywhere in life without looks and marrying Vardy.

Arguing with a woman drains the life from a man, and is a completely pointless exercise.

I cannot even fathom that guys are actually doing this via social media.

Just ignore that person please.
I'll be watching the games, and I'll be talking about the teams. If it's a disaster it will be quite humorous and exactly what Mike Ashley deserves and to be honest I'll quite enjoy it. I am totally indifferent to results and the team success going forward.

Now, in certain games should the team do well, I will be happy more for the players, because I feel bad for them mostly, and I still want to see some of them do well. I will still feel comfortable giving the team credit when they do well. I just don't care about any outcome at this point and none of my money goes into anything to do with Mike Ashley's operations.

There's a guy who gets my bus in the morning, looks like a thinner version of Ashley at his thinnest. Obviously I hate him, having never spoken to him. Probably a lovely guy  Thanks, Mike. #CoolStoryBro

Anyway, I see Sports Direct have offered Debenhams an interest-free loan of £150m, in exchange for a greater share in the company and the installation of Ashley as Chief Exec.
