A few more 20-30 minutes like this and I wouldn't mind him in that LWB spot.

Loved that blatant f*** you and everyone shot. So unlucky. Good shift today.

That shot was almost as outrageous as the Cisse strike against Chelsea. Imagine him firing on all cylinders in the same team as Almiron. Opposing teams would be shitting themselves.

That LWB spot should have his name all over it.

aye, it should be but he's no where near ritchie's level at the moment unfortunately.

There was a nice passing move between them two and Perez which, if we scored, would've been probably one of our best goals under Rafa. Up there with the second away at Leeds in the Championship. Could've scored a few of those yesterday tbh. But aye if Kenedy can get his form back up to scratch, him and Miggy would be class down that side.
But...6 in a row. But...Calciopoli.

He did alright today coming on. Far better linking with Almiron than Ritchie.

He did alright today coming on. Far better linking with Almiron than Ritchie.

Called it last week:

Although he's been utter s**** this season I actually think Kenedy at left wing back rather than Ritchie would benefit Almiron - Ritchie's instinct is to go down the line and cross the ball in. If you watch the games again, the times when Ritchie ignores Almiron are when he's asking for the ball down the line, where Ritchie himself wants to end up. Kenedy is more comfortable coming inside onto his 'weaker' foot and makes less linear, formulaic runs, so that flexibility of movement would probably see Almiron getting the ball more.
Having said all that, Rafa might want Ritchie to make those down the lines runs, in which case Almiron needs to find space elsewhere which will come in time.

Still not sure Kenedy quite deserves a start over Ritchie yet but i'd love to see it

Didn't even make the bench yesterday. Wonder what Chelsea will do with him next season.

They'll surely find a way around the transfer ban - delay it or something. Could see Kenedy going to a Serie A club.

Weird because he’s made a couple of good sub appearances against Cardiff & Everton. Can’t be worse than Ritchie.

So freaking disappointed in this lad this season. I thought we had an absolute star in the making last season.

Can’t be worse than Ritchie.

Well he can be.  Ritchie does frustrate me at times but the criticism of him is way OTT.

Disagree. Think he’s below average at this level. I’d sooner have used this run of games to see if we can salvage something from Kenedy. Either way we need to replace him this summer.

You only need to watch the Cardiff match to know that Kenedy can very much be worse than Ritchie.

Chelsea want £30m. I don't think I'd give £3m.

Kenedy is a good player who simply didn't manage to get going this season after his bad form early on. I certainly don't think he's as bad as had been made out at times; he was expectional for us last year however for £30m, £20m or even £15m - our money can be spent elsewhere on the squad where it's really needed.

He's played 86 minutes of first team football since Christmas despite, to my knowledge, being available the whole time. Rafa clearly has no faith in him, and based on his performances that is warranted. They'll never get anything close to £30m for him from anyone.

I agree, I wouldn't even give £3m. No point if he's not being used anyway.

Aye, was going to say £3m would be a steal  £15m+ and we'd be better served using the funds elsewhere.

But what's the point if he's not being used anyway? He got lots of time on the pitch first half of the season but is rarely even included in the squad these days. That wouldn't change no matter how much or little he costs. Use it on someone else instead.
