Once went to some shithole place in Brussels and it was an absolute dream compared to the dirge we get here, even in Turkish restaurants.

Check out this expert on being not worthy.

I bet a proper doner kebab is f***ing outlandish.  Must find one someday.

Spice Of Punjab is my go to. Naans instead of Pittas and meat always seemed to have a bit more about it.

I love getting a kebab over here and generally Ireland does quite well. I think I'm yet to have a good one in England though and I always get the impression England absolutely loves the stuff.

We should be dead with the amount of kebabs we ate during that 2-3 year stint at Transylvania.

Not in Newcastle but Whitley Bay must have a couple of the better places in the region. Turknaz and Elder and Wolf.

Doner I had in Dusseldorf was absolutely outstanding a couple of months ago. Was extremely drunk at the time but I remember eating half, going to bed and just as I was dozing off thinking "this is too good to waste I'm getting back up and finishing what I've started".

We are desperate for something similar in Newcastle instead of the s**** that gets knocked up in the takeaways. I know Sunderland had a place called "Doner Haus" which seems to be a bit of a chain, but that closed down before I had the chance to go and try it.

Another vote for Spice of Punjab here. Used to love getting p*ssed after work then getting a Spice of Punjab for the train home. Must have absolutely stank the carriage out in hindsight
