Lascelles is no great passer of the ball in fact always looks uncomfortable with it and can't wait to get rid of it

Compared to before he doesn't really look as uncomfortable at all any more.
Aye i think Lascelles has made a noticeable improvement.  He’ll never be Beckenbauer but that doesn’t matter as
long as he knows his limits.

If Lascelles looks uncomfortable with the ball what was Mike Williamson?
Think Lascelles is competent by comparison.

He might not have looked great on the ball but he scored loads from corners for us under Pardew tbf.

Surely, anybody who uses Pardew in a sentence containing the phrase "goals from corners", is automatically assumed to be taking the p*ss?

He always does great at center back, not so much at left back, today was one of the best games i've seen him play for us.

Perez will rightly get the headlines BUT thought Dummett did well defensively, especially some of the headers from crosses/corners

He's a center back. Ultimately a smallish one, which is probably what shunted him to full back, but this position exposes the weaker points and focuses on the stronger one more.

He's fine as Lejeune's cover but they both get injured a lot which is the only worry.

MOTM without Ayoze's show. Outstanding. Top class defending. Still so underrated by so many.

Exactly. Always rated the lad as a defender, he just offers nothing going forward which limits his usefulness as a left back.
