Bethpage is a fantastic course by the way, would be nice to see Koepka faulter a little today as it’d be a marvelous leaderboard without him blowing everyone away.

Don’t really see it happening the way he’s playing but if he does have an off day with the driver it’s a course that can be very unforgiving and take shots away in a hurry.

Yeah, he gave them half a chance to get within striking distance and nobody really took advantage. The low round of the day was 67 so the course was undoubtedly playing tough but I do think there was something lower to be had and if one of the players in the last few groups had managed it we might have a Sunday worth of watching. Dustin in particular let a very good round get away from him, he could easily be sitting at 8 or 9 under.

I can't really work Koepka out, is he arrogant or not?

I don't know what to make of him.

He has no evident personality at all and looks like a computer game regen who displays no emotion whatsoever on the course. Also his game is built on a mix of overpowering courses and not really making mistakes so he doesn’t give you the excitement of someone like a McIlroy or Spieth who can go from the sublime to the ridiculous on every other hole.

In short, he’s boring as f***.

As a golf fan you have to admire his game though. Four of his last eight majors won. Back to back US Opens, now back to back PGAs. Just had a look and not even Tiger ever held two back-to-back majors at the same time. Nicklaus only ever successfully defended a major once. It’s increubly impressive.

Ryder Cup there in 2024.

If that’s a close one things will turn very nasty there, proper shitshow.
