 Today sucked. I went from furious to miserable to zero. to your good day, Kaz. Who'd you #metoo?

I had a day like this too. Now I'm awake again and still at zero. :)

f***ing hell, my Dad got taken to hospital after being bedridden for the past few days and feeling faint whenever he stood up. They've began testing and he has pneumonia, sepsis and a severe flu virus simultaneously. They reckon he should be okay if the antibiotics take hold but they stress how seriously ill he is. That said they're not entirely happy with the full diagnosis and are testing for something else for which the results will be back tomorrow... bit of a s**** feeling sitting round waiting for it like but I'm confident he's in the right hands.

Aye that's it like, he's quarantined for tonight until the test result comes back tomorrow - so hopefully can go visit him tomorrow evening, he's a Sunderland fan so was going to try get him set up with a link to the match but I fear a bad result may tip him over the edge  Not what the doctor ordered probably.

Thank you so much, man. Really means a lot that. I'm not doing too badly - will feel much better after seeing him tomorrow, but at present I'm more concerned about making sure my sister and mam are holding up. And yes, I will be watching tomorrow afternoon and then visiting him in the evening, I hope I can bring with me some good news for him.

All the best to your Dad, IC. Hope his speedy recovery is a given and he's home soon.

Thanks Branko. Been to visit him tonight, good to see the colour back in his face but he's understandably exhausted. Wish his f***ing team could have done him a favour by winning this afternoon like... useless f***ers

My dad got out on Friday but he was taken back in during the night last night with severe chest pains. We thought it was perhaps the pneumonia still present but they're now testing his heart & blood flow - although it is also the case that the infection is still there. Tough couple of weeks like but he seems positive about it and I'll remain so too  :)

Best wishes to your father, IC.

Life is magnificent. My wife gave birth to our second and third children a couple of weeks ago, two little girls. There were initially some problems with jaundice, etc, but all of this has passed and everyone is now home and progressing happily. All is well.

ain't seen my wife or son since Sunday and won't see them until Wednesday. Longest I've gone without seeing him - they are with the in-laws whilst I've been traveling for work. cutting me up all sorts of ways right now. No amount of phone calls or facetime/video calls can replace just a little hug from your kid. Sorry had to get that out.

Thank you all for the good wishes, they are meaningful.

I assume they are very young, Kanji? I know the feeling, and it is very hard. With the nature of the way I secure funds to keep my family nourished and in financial security, I travel often and spend large periods of time away from my wife and our offspring (eldest is now four). It will always hurt not to see the most important people in your life, but these are the sacrifices that are required of us at times. All we can do is make up for lost time when we are around (easier with the wife ) and ask for understanding. It gets easier as they age. My son seems to understand what I am doing to some degree now and gets excited for our daily call while I am away.
