Berlin tomorrow. Give me beer tips.

Do a search you lazy f***er

Recommendations for places to eat/drink, things to do on an evening in Berlin?

Burgermeister is lush but not a nighttime place as is Transit (Asian tapas).

If you like traditional German places for drinking I'd recommend Brauerei Lemke and Brauhaus Georgbraeu, both nearish Alexanderplatz. Hofbrauhaus is round that way too although it's just a copy of the one in Munich.

Also http://www.gerichtslaube.de/speisen-getraenke/ is absolutely lush.

Add Marcusbrau to the above, again near Alex’. Loads of other German bigger beer brand have places round there.

This place is so f***ing mint, man. Hard to even describe why. Just the atmosphere I suppose. Cant wait to come back and ive only been here a day. Brutal day, mind. Topographies des terrors. Holocaust monument and museum. East side gallery... Get all the sightseeing done in a couple of days then come back and just enjoy the place, I think. Such a strangely polarised city. The bleak and the amazing. f***ing love Germany, man
And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make

The history around Berlin is ridiculous, could keep going back and find new things to visit.

Mallorca is so beautiful.  Possibly the greatest island ever.

Feel like I'm the only person who went to Berlin and was massively underwhelmed.  Everyone else seems to absolutely love it, so must have done something wrong.

It's got too much recent history to be anything other than class IMO. Not the most aesthetically pleasing place you could argue but a lot of German cities are a bit dull and boxy on that front.

Think any city break totally depends on knowing where the cool areas are and what to see. First time I came to London I hated it, first time I went to New York I just found it a hassle.

Would Mallorca still be worth visiting at the beginning of October? Might take a break then.

Just never got a feel for it in the way I have done for a lot of the European cities I've been to.  Going in January possibly didn't help, but just didn't warm to it.  Possibly the weather accentuated the greyness of the place, but I like to think my appreciation of a city isn't that superficial.  Will have to give it another go.

Weather doesn't look amazing, very high chance of rain. That said, it is October.

Mallorca is so beautiful.  Possibly the greatest island ever.

We visited Menorca last year for the first time, and were very surprised - its definitely worth a visit.

Don't think its as busy an island as Mallorca/Majorca, but there are loads of lush little coves, and cracking scenery. We stayed at Cala n'forcat which is a very 'british' type resort, but its close to Cuitadella town, and an hours drive to capitol Mahon on the other side of the island, next to the airport.
Claim to fame.... Han Solo stole my uniform.

Went to a Greek island at beginning of October once and it was mint. Nobody there. Beaches to ourselves and good weather.
