Interesting seeing the relegation odds for next season, the likes of Arsenal around 2000/1, Man City only 33/1, presumably the bookies covering their backs a bit just in case the PL throws the book at them.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - De Zerbi dezertin' Brighton
Optimistic Nut replied to cp40's topic in Football
They already seem to have sunk back into the same group as the likes of Palace, Wolves, Fulham in one season. I mean, it's not far off what we were doing under Ashley, but the Bas Cabayes & Debuchys soon became De Jong, Riviere & Cabella once clubs like Southampton & Swansea started operating in our market but were actually prepared to pay the money for who we also tracked (thinking the likes of Gomis, Bony...) It is cracking what Brighton have done and are doing, but they might have to push the boat out a bit more this summer. They made a big profit in their last accounts, will be interesting to see how they approach things. -
At what point do we dust-off Ashworth's laptop, change his passwords, carry out all his Windows updates and tell him he's not going to Man U as they're pissing about, crack on and do your job.

Using this argument then, what's a more likely chance to score. A 30-yard daisy cutter that rolls straight to the keeper, or a chance like Joelinton's yesterday?

I think this competition is perfect for us next season. We were pretty shafted last season by having a nightmare start where rotating players was tricky, then the Champions League draw. Next season we'll be in a position where we can make 5-6 changes from the weekend to the Thursday and still be good enough to win in both.

They're going to be lying flat out, probably a light session tomorrow in front the media and fans, a gentle-ish kick about on Wednesday, then home.

They're warped, like. The calibre of teams is far nearer the old Cup Winners' Cup.

Top 4 and winning the Europa Conference.

And we finished with more points.
