Title: WWF Revived?
Post by: ZeRoE on Friday 21 January 2011, 09:57:17 PM
World Wrestling Football (club)

f*** it, it started a bit of banter in the rumours thread, so surely worthy of it's own.

Vince McMahon in Talks with Ashley?

New owner to wrestle control of Newcastle United?
By Isaac Ashe on Jan 21, 11 04:05 PM in Oddballs

IT'S not just never-gonna-happen rumours about players like David Beckham and Ronaldinho joining teams like Leicester City and Scunthorpe that get banded about in the silly season that is the January transfer window.
In fact my favourite bit of unsubstantiated gossip so far this month involves new ownership looking to get a hold on Newcastle United.
Because word on the street is Mike Ashley is in talks with billionaire WWE owner Vince McMahon over the sale of the Magpies.
If this actually happens, on hearing the news I promise I will tear off my shirt Hulk Hogan style and wrestle whoever's nearest to me to the ground.

We should come up with wrestling names for the players. Kill some time.

Every player would enter the pitch one at time with their own theme music. Subs would be run ins, with the oncoming player attacking the player coming off with a chair, or probably just a bottle of Lucazade. Seriously though, could you imagine it, man. Holy s***, we'd never hear the end of it.

They should just have the Premier League trophy in the middle of the pitch hanging  from the roof of the stadium... ladder match for the title anyone...?

P.S. Ameobi with a bit of face paint on = Papa Shango...hmm.  So THAT'S why every single manager has loved him and kept him.... the power of VOODOO!

I've sent an inquiry to WWE's International Media contact asking if McMahon is considering buying a soccer club. :smug:

Unfortunately, all that's going to do is ruin the fun we are having.

I'm still trying to figure out who's comparable to Val Venis. Having a tough time getting past Alan Smith.

Just watching a clip on Youtube of the Undertaker's return at Judgment Day 2000 which was one of my favourite ever returns, even if they did mess it up a bit. HBK's shorts are f***ing tiny. :o

Great return but the ending was weird as f***. Taker hit the tomebstone after the buzzer rang ffs.

You lot should come out to 'no chance in hell' if this happens.

When we're playing a match, the manager of the club we're facing next will randomly sit next to Andy Gray & Martin Tyler making sarky comments throughout telling them and the viewers what they're going to do to us when we face them. Before one or two players of his players jump a few of the last players down the tunnel in a hit and run making us wonder if they'll be fit in time for the next game.

http://arsenalaction.com/2009/05/19/video-vince-mcmahon-stan-kroenke-should-be-arrested/

Quote
STAMFORD, Conn., May 18, 2009 – World Wrestling Entertainment®’s  live, internationally televised broadcast, WWE Monday Night RAW®, (USA Network, 9:00 PM ET) to take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver next Monday, May 25th is in jeopardy of being cancelled by the Denver Nuggets.  The WWE and Denver Nuggets are currently at an impasse in resolving a scheduling debacle by the team and the Pepsi Center. A sell-out crowd is expected to attend the WWE show at the same time the Denver Nuggets are slated to square off against the Los Angeles Lakers for Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals.  WWE has held the May 25th date with the Pepsi Center since August 15, 2008.

“Even though the Denver Nuggets had a strong team this year and were projected to make the playoffs, obviously Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Stan Kroenke did not have enough faith in his own team to hold the May 25th date for a potential playoff game,” said WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

Can just see it when a player rolls off the pitch or whatever, two or three of hour subs 'sneak attacking' him while the ref's not looking.

Having noticed it this morning, I actually spent all day at work looking forward to reading this thread. Its just f***ing brilliant  :mackems:  Early contender for Thread of the Year. Never let it slip off the first page!
