Well..........They never listen for a start!! blueupset.gif

We have to work around these issues, always let them think they are right, tell them nice things and don't forget anything important then they are usually pretty timid creatures.

I wonder sometimes if I really connected with any of my former girlfriends for any meaningful length of time. Or was it all just compromises. I want answers!! bluecool.gif

It seems to me and I don't know if others would agree, they fall in love with this 'thing' that you create and aren't really that interested in the real you.

That must have persona that they find fascinating and you tailor it and chisel it just right to keep them interested. Then you're trapped in it. :lock1:

Spoke it like a true master. You are absolutely right, sir.

Can't be bothered to explain, but those who understand what he's saying will be nodding their heads. That explains why things tend to drift away after a while in a relationship - surely not solely the woman's fault, but the evaporation of the "thing", the illusion, and seeing the real you maybe has something to do with it.

And all that crap about "just be yourself" is just pure virgin bullshit.

Be a w*****.

Awww you poor lot. :(

As most of you probably know, I hate it when women treat men like crap. There is no need for it and it makes me angry. But you should know that most women are a bunch of bitches and can never be nice for a sustained amount of time.

I feel sorry for you all having to put up with them to be honest. I don't know how or why you do it!

She just still rips the p*ss in that way that you cant find the words to reply. For example, she has had stuff at my flat for ages, every time i came back to london she was away and she couldnt pick it up. This goes on for 3 months as i am often away too. The she calls and says 'why wont you let me get my stuff, do you not want to let go?' but in a real p'ss taking way.

She'll then destroy me for whatever reason and then say, shall we meet for a drink.... I just want to hide somewhere. She can be canny but she can be minging about me, mates, family. Then she says i have a problem if i get worked up.

Its like a weird 70's art house channel 5 repeat series at times.....

You poor bugger, sounds like you have a right meanie on your hands with this bird.

Don't let her insult you or make you feel bad, if she's going to be like that just don't speak to her. Cut all ties with her, that will crack her off when she can't just call you up and insult you and take the pee. You should have arranged a time for her to collect her stuff from the flat and told her that if she failed to turn up on that date to collect it then you would take it to the Oxfam shop.

Never mind about her "canny" side that she probably switches on when she wants something, her nasty side seems to be more in use than her nice side, and she has no right to make you feel like that. Cut all ties and don't take her phone calls. In short, tell her to bugger off if she's going to treat you like crap, you can't let someone away with making you feel like that.

Don't meet with her for a drink either. What a cheek after she's insulted you. You should get a lovely new girlfriend who won't treat you like this, that would also get up her nose.

Your totally right Snoopy, the problem is she has 'canny' nice tits, a 'canny' arse, a 'canny' pretty face and 'canny' help it when she is nice. I'm weak tbh. I think am through it all now though and dont get me wrong i can handle her nonsense most of the time but she will lure me in with her 'cannyness' then slowly sink the teeth in again.

Getting back to the original thread - I wonder if there's scope for a conspiracy theory here running along the lines that mobile phone companies specifically employ luscious but dangerously unbalanced bints to snare male customers then screw their lives up, break up with them, come back for a bit more ex-boyf baiting, until the poor unsuspecting male is forced to take a new number and thinks "feck it I'll get an upgrade to cheer myself up whilst I'm at it".....ker-ching!

Nah, that's definitely too paranoid even for me...

Why is it men always get the bad reputation then?

Did it used to be that way, and the roles have reversed or what? Or are there just an equal bunch of pisstakers on either side?

Some women can't help themselves, tbh. They think they're different from other women: that they won't end up playing the same petty mind tricks that all the others resort to using, but invariably they always do. They think they won't become too possessive or clingy, but invariably they always do. They make promises that if things don't work out, don't worry we'll break up amicably, there'll be no horrible aftermath - but there (nearly) always is, becuase they have an incessant illogical need to play things in the most male-mind-f***ing way possible. Sometimes I think women were put on Earth solely to make men's lives a total misery...

...can anyone else spot the bloke who had a row with his lass this evening?

I don't know Wullie. I mean, I don't think that women should be treated like s**** either and certainly shouldn't be hit by men or anything but its gone too far nowdays with all of this "equality for women" stuff cos they are ending up with better deals all the time....if they want equality then that is what they should get.

It just makes me angry these days when women are treaing men like crap when they don't want to be treated like it themselves. Some of them act like men have no feelings, and its not fair.

Women are bitches with each other GeordieMessiah. They will smile in your face whilst stabbing you in the back.  Don't believe all of the "all girls together" s**** cos its all false tripe, it makes me sick and thats something else I don't go in for. They will soon stab their "friends" in the back when there is something they want or a man who they are after.

I should know, I have had my fair share of back stabbing from supposed female "friends" thats why I don't like to make friends with women any more, they get too jealous, nasty and bitchy within weeks of knowing you.

Of course, there will be exceptions out there in the female population, you just have to find them.

Maybe it's not men or women.

Maybe it's simply that a large percentage of people in general are just c***s.

Speaking as an old codger I think the problems arise because we don't really appreciate how completely different the other sex is.  With the progress that feminism has made and with ladettes getting p*ssed up on a Saturday night its easy to think that we all think in the same way nowadays but we just don't.  For example even with years of Cosmo and Sex in the City I still don't think men and women have the same attitude to casual sex.  I don't think a woman can ever understand how what its like to be a bloke in his teens/early twenties desparate for sex  - its like oxygen, if you're getting it you take it for granted, if you're not you can't think of anything else.  Similarly blokes will never really understand how strong the urge to have kids is in women in their thirties.   The answer is just don't expect women to think and behave like men (and vice versa)

Now thats just really sly of her! She might have done this to try and trick you to make you stay with her if there is a baby around.
I HATE females who pull this one on men, its really low.

Its really hard to try and find someone who is truthful these days, its like a needle in a haystack. Why couldn't she have discussed it with you instead of making her own decision about it? There's too much of this "women in charge" of whats going to happen here....they decide when they get pregnant, they decide if they are going to keep the kid or not and they decide whether the men can see the kids or not. Seems like they make ALL the decisions without a second thought for the men's feelings.
Makes me sick!!

If she's not going to be truthful with you over a situation like this then what else could she be lying about?

Agree its a terrible thing to make a man a father against his will  but I've been amazed at how often I've come across it - and i'm talking about graduates/professional women not Daily Mail teenage mothers looking for a council house.  Usually it was in the context of a fairly long term relationship where the man was happy to drift on without children and the women decided to move things on herself. I talked about it with someone at work (woman about 35) who said I would never understand how strong a woman's need was for kids.  She was in the same sort of relationship but, fair play to her, saw that her options were to stick it out or get out and find a man who did want children

I agree, it does happen all the time. But like the lass at the end of your story not all women will do it, I certainly would not.

A relationship needs to be 50/50 and with honesty and integrity at the heart of it, otherwise its just not going to work and will end up in a big mess.

See the trouble is women now feel that with the CSA in existence, they can effectively rape their way to having children and financial support. Anyway, I can see another "little chat" happening between me and my woman later on tonight...it's my own fault you know...I should never have let on that I liked her. Once they know that you like them, it's game over. When will I ever learn?!

Exactly - unfortunately took me about thirty years to work that out and actually get into a grown up relationship.  Too many men grow up to think that the way to a good relationship is to be a b****** and too many women think that is to be manipulative.  In both cases you might get your own way in the short term but end up living your life in a battle.

Well said.

It works both ways in the end, like I said, it should be 50/50 with both people working together and being honest and trustworthy otherwise the relationship won't even get off the ground.

Once the last of her stuff is gone i am thinking about changing numbers....

I met her last night and she was sweet as pie, so i ended up sleeping with her. Weak, totally f***ing weak.  bluesigh.gif

Once the last of her stuff is gone i am thinking about changing numbers....

I met her last night and she was sweet as pie, so i ended up sleeping with her. Weak, totally f***ing weak.  bluesigh.gif

Exactly!! I chose my hub because i`m so small if i`d have had children with someone short aswell, they`d have been munchkins!!

How funny....

Like men aren`t just as precious.... :winking:

My hub bought a couple of teeshirts at the weekend, and spent ages trying to decide if they were a bit short or not. FFS. :wullie:

I`d NEVER do that......

BTW- they were a bit short i thought!!

Teeshirts that were too short?!  Where was he shopping, Mothercare?

LOL!!

Hes tall my hub, 6` 4", so i have this constantly with him and clothes. Drives me mad.... :wullie: bluebiggrin.gif

He IS worse than me about his clobber, hes a proper tart!! blueeek.gif

I'm 6'3 and never have this issue with short t-shirts.  Does he have a particularly long torso and little stumpy legs or something? bluerazz.gif  I have issues with trouser length though.  And suits.  I can't buy suits from Next or M&S or owt because the sleeves are always too short.

Interesting stuff eh?

Yeah, very interesting!! No hes not abnormally shaped, but hes always got this thing about teeshirts, shirts etc...being the right length. And don` t get me started about buying him suits and trousers...nightmare!!

I think you're being very insensitive about the plight of the tall man in a cruel world where most clothing retailers still cater for midgets. ;)

There are special shops for oversized men arent there? They do up old clown shoes and that and make them into brogues and stuff.

Cheap shot like, Chez. Don't bother coming round to mine for your tea the neet!

I'm 6'7" going on 6'8" - getting clothes that fit me can be a reet bastaad - but apparently that's nae defence in the eyes of the law.

Shocking really.

That sort of chat is not helping my case with Gemmill like GM....

Actually once i had done the MSc at York i was given a job as a research associate on £20k and was expected to enrolll into the doctorate programme and i did some lecturing for extra cash.

That was in the public sector 8 years ago at 24. Now things are very different   tongue.gif
