It's an NBC-owned channel, just no one has it unless you subscribe to your providers most expensive package

Thoroughly enjoyed that half. Playing some great stuff on the break with Shelvey linking up with the front 3. Enjoyable viewing.

Mitrovic getting some stick from our travelling support like  Bless him. Looked sick at one point as he stood in front of them as they ironically cheered up before a rendition "You're just a s*** Salomon Rondon".

They looked awesome in the posted Twitter video

Sunday morning saw six boats carrying 1,480 Newcastle fans set sail down the Thames, en route to Putney Pier - the nearest disembarking point for Craven Cottage.

The Golden Flame, The Golden Jubilee, The Chay Blyth, The Hurlingham, The Valulla and The Pearl of London were chartered and filled by Darren Curry, Keith Heads and their mates.

Our man onboard (not overboard hopefully) reports that the Toon Navy are in good voice, with several choruses of "Have you ever seen a mackem on the Thames?"

That then switched to "You don't know what you're doing", when passing the Houses of Parliament...

So happy for Rafa, all the lads and the travelling support who were of course magnificent.

Best wishes to Hayden who has been a steal overall and will continue to get better wherever he goes. Will add in Diame who has been a great servant.

Rondon, Perez, Rafa and Shelvey. Its likely the last we see you. Schar maybe too. All magnificent today too.

Southampton for £30m apparently. Our sell-on fee will no doubt sign our next number 9 loan striker in the summer.

When was the last time we won by 4 away in the PL?

4-0 at Bolton maybe? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/1580160.stm

Won 5-1 at Coventry in 1998 under Gullit. Those are the only ones I can think of but there will probably be others?

Quote
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez: "It was a great game. The early goal helped us a bit when they were pressing. We had the experience on the counter attack. The third goal killed the game. Credit to them because they were pushing then.

"I am really proud of this group of players and the fans were amazing as well. "Finish 13th is important for everyone. It is a good position and I am really pleased.

"Now is the time to enjoy and the fans go back happy. I am really proud. This group of players, even in bad times, never had their heads down they were still believing and working hard."

On his own future: "I said before that I have seen the potential but now is the time to enjoy."

Managed to get a couple of tickets in the away end. Yesterday and today on the drink with wor lass, match awesome, thought Shelvey stood out as particularly awesome amongst a generally awesome bunch of performances. Hope to God that this isn't another feeling of false optimism like after we humped Chelsea at the end of last season.

Fulham fell into the trap of buying an overrated English Centre back who doesn't actually defend well but can pass it a bit and didn't improve them at all. Just Tim Ream but English basically. That's why they went down. They bought in a lot of attackers and under Slakisa they attacked well. But they didn't buy any decent defenders and it cost them.

One of the most comfortable wins I think I’ve ever seen us achieve, Fulham being one of the worst opponents I’ve seen us play, they were truly awful. We could have ran up a bigger score if we ourselves were more aggressive. All in all a pleasing win in lovely sunshine backed by a large following.

It was good to spend the second half alongside Wor Stiffler, very good company although I had overdone it the night before and probably wasnt too intelligible. Good craic regardless.

For all the carry on over tickets, once through the turnstiles no-one seemed bothered where anyone sat. I ended up sitting alongside my lot and my sister who didn’t have ‘Toon tickets’, 95% of the stand was all Newcastle from what I could tell.

We ended up meeting my brother-in-law and nephew (Fulham season ticket holder and supporter) back at the Crabtree with a few of his Fulham mates who were very complimentary about our support claiming it was the best they’ve seen all season. I personally thought it was mooted at times and nowhere near as voiciferous as many away day atmopsheres I’ve experienced.

From what I gather though fans were impeccably behaved all weekend and the locals were again very complimentary. The videos from the cruise booze and talking to some who went on them looked great like everyone really enjoyed themselves.

There was loads of Toon fans where we stayed in Brentford which was hard to determine at first as most didn’t wear any colours which worried a few of the locals in one of the pubs we went in, one local telling us he hoped we weren’t from Sunderland as a few of them caused some bother a few weeks back.

A pub around from our digs, the barman’s dad is a Geordie and we got a free drink which was nice. That same pub ended up having to act as a safe house for some youngsters who were being chased by an older gang trying to rob them, they were only about 12 and were shaking and crying.

The barman says it’s every day and he said these kids were in no gang themselves as they would have not ran off or been so scared, he said they will end up in one soon though and carrying weapons just to defend themselves.

Where we were was nice, but a 10 minute walk around away from our apartment and it got worse and worse and so typical of London where there is a huge disparity in wealth. When we were asked where we were staying in one pub we were asked what the hell we were doing in the pub we were in. We fitted in better.

So this was my first match of the season and my 4th in 4 or so years I think, my first away match in London since QPR away back in our first promotion season. Will it be my last? Probably, regardless of Rafa. I didn’t enjoy it if I’m honest and although we won there isn’t that strong feeling and passion I used to experience. In all honesty I couldn’t wait for the final whistle to go and I think I’d probably enjoyed it more in a pub with a few beers.

I’m glad I went though, we had a mint weekend and as wrecked as we got and as sorry as I was for not spending more time with my sister and co, it was good to have a weekend away with the lads. I’m getting too old for the drinking sessions and too far gone in terms of being disenfranchised from the game and the club to do this another time again.

I just had to say thanks to the main man Rafa and my goodbyes though, that’s what it was all about. I did get a bit emotional at the end, more with myself for not caring enough or enjoying it all and how I used to feel about the match cheering on the lads. My emotions topped by seeing Rafa clapping us off who whatever job he’s done at the club, as great as it’s been, it’s equal to what kind of job he’s done on someone like me who win lose or draw, relegation or not, I’d have been at that game to show my gratitude to him for making me care about the team and my club, even just a little bit.

I take that feeling away from London and I’ll cherish it more than any win this season or performance or staying up. That’s me done though and it’s not about Ashley anymore, I have no real emotional feelings for the game and club these days which I went to also prove to myself one last time. There was no love there from me, and no love lost for me.

I’ll always care about the club at some deep down subconscious level, it’s my club after all, but not enough to cheer and get up for a match, be it in attendance or around the telly, or care what we do on the pitch.

Or any of it, that’s why I won’t be getting involved in affairs with Gateshead and this will be my last post on here, I hope it wasn’t tl;dr ;)

You are all lovely people and despite my critcism of fans and the many bashings I’ve given season ticket holders, I hope for everyone who does care that Rafa stays and better days are ahead, with or without Ashley.

You're  a regular and detailed poster HTT. I'm surprised.  I think you'll  miss being on here, but you're  your own man. We also stayed in Brentford. Spent Sat  night  in the Griffin, outside Griffin park. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank and Palaces Wan-Basaka were in the little function room in the back. Didn't  see the latter but seen JFH leaving. The Palace lad was the talk of the bar staff.

Can someone please delete my account?

Thanks

Took my kids to this game. They loved it. Neutral end just ended up being an extension of the away end and the atmosphere was quality.

If Fulham had Rafa coaching their defence, they'd have won .

Wasn't impressed with Joe Bryan so hope any historic interest in him stays that way.

It's nowt to do with that, announcing you are leaving a message board and asking for your account to to be deleted is narcissistic, most people would just leave.

Also, the way he described people still going to the match was beyond the pale really.

Just got in, basically been on a session since Friday lunchtime. Boat was class. Match awesome. Following this club is magnificent on days like this.

God help me, I really don't want to go work tomorrow in the morning.

Sounds like a class weekend mate. Hope you can battle through work today.

It was class. Best mates stag with a load of mates that go way back and then the boat and match.

A delayed hangover started kicking in this evening so I've had to crack open a can to counteract the headache. Probably not a good idea.

Everyone loved the boats! Fair play to Darren Curry for sorting them all out - superb!

Half of my lot didn’t bother as they thought it would be a nightmare getting served so decided to just drink around London and it took them an hour to find a boozer open  They didn’t appreciate videos from the boat of everyone boozing for some reason

We do, but you would have to be naive in the extreme to think we don't have our knacker element aswell,  every club has them.

Thankfully the people on the boats seemed to be the more mature fans.
