  1. I don’t think they will spend crazily.
  2. Arsenal have downloaded a coward gene in the last 20 years when it comes to the league.
  3. Anyone saying they would rather Sunderland win the PL and finish in the CL than Sunderland don't and Europa - they are lying.
  4. Paying upfront doesn't change anything from a PSR perspective. Nevermind I misread what you wrote. I *feel* like Liverpool were suggesting they could spend big to placate Klopp. And they lost out on wages anyway. The transfer story of the latest few years for them is being gazumped in the transfer market. And Klopp was never keen on the Edwards model either.
  5. That sounds great. I'm only hearing of wage increases and have yet to see revenue increases (new ones). Tottenham control the wages really well. Too well probably. And they get top-dollar for their players. Take the good. Discard the bad. Levy has done a lot right. He's probably done everything right that he wanted for the club. His problem is that he doesn't really care about winning trophies or leagues. Ultimately, I think FSG are in much the same boat.
  6. I assume we have some master plan to increase revenues. Controlling wages tightly has helped Spurs tremendously and not controlling wages tightly killed Leicester. Ultimately, we need revenues though as you say.
  7. Missed this. Fair. I saw him play mostly LB/LM for Brighton. That's where he played mostly in his last 18 months for Brighton. Never noticed him earlier. They mostly played Dunk/Webster at CB from recollection.
  8. Not sure I like the idea of increasing everyone's wages with us already having a high wages/turnover ratio. We can only amortise 1 additional year of Isak's contract so we can't make much back in accounting. I wouldn't be against the Levy tactic of "well you signed the contract, so we either get an exorbitant fee or you keep playing". Unless we have good plans to actually increase revenues in line.
  9. There's either something in the contract that is ambiguous or it's bluster.
  10. Yeh but they also impact the players you choose around the chips. If you’ve already used your wildcard you’ve been loading up on Chelsea and Spurs. Or you’ll be taking hits. ol boy is going back on top. 20 points off the bench. And a Foden haul tonight.
  11. I haven't given my wildcard much thought but that 8 does pick itself due to fixtures. Could go Hojlund or Watkins over Jackson. Find a way to get KDB in the 5. I don't think the chip strategy matters that much. All about player selection. I FH during that blank GW and got a red arrow. No FH this week and got a green with Eze, Branthwaite, Mateta, Double Arsenal defence hauling.
  12. He's so bad at finishing. But so many chances.
  13. Ollie Watkins has double the points of Jackson. I should choose Nicholas?????
  14. Potential trap. Saliba & Gabriel have served me so good. I'm going to drop them out for Maguire?????? I can't see it.
