Even the supporters group that's been recently formed is being plagued by infighting with accusations flying around, people being thrown off the WhatsApp group etc. Fans all threw a fiver in to get it up and running and the treasurer quit shortly after and nobody knows who's looking after the money now! Just seems like a right shitshow, the entire club. My mate is a season ticket holder there and has been for years but he's started drifting away to watch Percy Main lately (they're actually getting similar crowds to North Shields these days) and he's on about watching them next season cos he's had his fill with it all. That turnstile that they were donated back in January is still lying in a heap outside their ground collecting rust.

When you watch the highlights of their games on SSN he seems to be to blame for a very large proportion of the goals they concede, usually because he flaps at crosses so badly. In this day and age of strict FFP and PSR rules etc it would be a bold chairman who writes a cheque for £12m for him I'd think.

Fair play to them if they can get £12m for Patterson. Makes the £10m we paid for Nick Pope seem like daylight robbery!

I don't think they have got a particularly saleable squad. If those 7 players you've quoted are worth that claimed £76m there's no way they're finishing 16th in the Championship, 6 points clear of relegation. I think it's more likely the usual case of mackems bigging up bang average players and some people falling for the hype. Pritchard was their best player by an absolute mile against us. He was their only player who didn't look completely out of his depth against PL players. They sold him for £100k.

Can probably add another 3 or 4 quid onto that for this season as will with the ticket price increases and the Champions League tickets being £60 a pop for adults.

Was £26 during Ashley's last full season. Haven't seen anything more recent but I'd reckon around £34/£35 now.

Shame it's not as simple as being able to whip the top tier of their ground and bolt it onto our East Stand/Gallowgate. Win, win situation for all.

Trying to think back to how long the level 7 expansion took. I had a season ticket in the Leazes End at the time and remember we spent the entire 99/00 season without a roof over our heads but can't remember what the full timescale was.
