Where would he play? He's not going to replace Dummett, and seems even Manquillo is preferred as a RB which is our weakest part of the back four IMO.

Wouldn't be averse to Lazaar-Shar-Fernandez-Sterry but I don't know if Rafa would agree

My theory is that he grassed Shelvey in the “cous cous nonce” incident so Rafa banished him as he can’t be trusted.

First think i thought when i looked at it, if we were called West Brom or something it would be more believable

Its a bit of a depressing list to read.

I think back to my younger years when I often looked at the squad list and though so-and-so are the only players I'd like to keep if I was a manager with £xxxM (probably due to CM/FM ). There were always quite a few players I would like to keep. Today it is only 1 in Lascelles. The only others, if the imaginary budget does not allow for a full replacement, would be Dubravka and Shelvey.

Shelvey & Dubravka are equally as good and as important to us as Lascelles imo. I don't know a goalkeeper I would/we could replace Dubravka with, his game is complete and he seems like a good man too. I like Oblak for AM, but that's the level we're talking for someone better than our goalkeeper.

A few I'd have kept for squad depth/back-up, our issue is that they're currently guaranteed starters.

Not really, he's had half a good season.

We don't know if Muto or Schar are PL level players though. If you're including them I'd say you have to include Diame

Would say Diame is comfortably PL standard.

I would judge any player PL standard if we could find a Premier league buyer if we put them up for sale. I reckon Diame would find a taker, maybe Hayden as well from that list if the Brighton interest was solid.

Of course Diame is PL standard. He was absolutely unreal during the second half of last season. He'll never recapture that sort of form and I wouldn't really want him first choice in an ideal world, but he's easily PL standard.

He's played in the PL 7 seasons. He was good at Wigan and West Ham and was tremendous last season.
