  1. Well yeah and they lost Kompany, i don't think it's going to matter mind.
  2. Probably right there. Liverpool have Matip, Shaqiri, Origi, Man City have Otamendi, Bernardo Silva & Gabriel Jesus. Class above. If Bernardo sits on the bench this season for any considerable stint it's a travesty for the premier league viewers. He's clearly not going to, just like Jesus won't be starting above Aguero all season. He's just rotating his options because well.... he can. Bernardo will start the large majority of games. I should say though, of the names Nut mentioned i don't really rate Otamendi and don't think there's a great deal of difference between him and Matip.
  3. One last thing, i don't know about everyone else but i'm far from miserable the complete opposite in fact. Rightly Criticising Newcastle United Football Club doesn't mean i'm miserable, it's not that deep.
  4. Tbf i don't think anyone is criticising Joelinton, Almiron or SM. More Carroll, Muto and Gayle.
  5. I'm not saying I think he's worth that... I'm saying that's how much we have been quoted as wanting for him. It's well reported. Reports mean nothing, none of them know anything. We'd accept a third of that for Gayle. But nobody clearly wants to spend anything on him as his performances haven't justified anything.
  6. I mean i have no opinions on Joelinton but the other strikers there are awful. The standards have really dropped if that's what's considered "not bad". Awful? Jesus Christ man. We are yet to know whether Gayle can do it in the PL... Rafa barely played him. And same with Muto... every time I've seen him play he's been a livewire, and most posters on here were complaining about his lack of game time last season. And Carroll, if fit, is a great option from the bench. You know he is. You just have no interest whatsoever in saying anything remotely positive. On Gayle, yes we do. He's not good enough, he's proved that multiple times over multiple different seasons for different clubs that he's not good enough. Muto i'm willing to accept he may have a chance but i still doubt it, as for Carroll he's been crap for years whether he's been fit or not. Also don't assume i have no interest in saying anything positive because i have a negative opinion on this subject. ( with good reason) To start. But a lot of clubs in our league standing would like to have a Dwight Gayle on the bench. Why aren't they queuing up to sign him then? instead he spent the entire last season at West Brom.

  9. Still a very good summer mind.
  10. If the Lo Celso and Dybala deals are completed Spurs have had an amazing window tbh, i've been complaining about their lack of creativity and general midfield quality for years outside of Eriksen. They finally seem to have significantly improved that area of the pitch which has been sorely lacking for a while so good for them.
  11. I've had it since last year because of other sports i'm interested in, worth every penny. I didn't know they were investing in staff for football mind.
  12. How optimistic am I really being even? I said the guy is talented and has attributes that are very useful in the premier league, which could cause a lot of problems when alongside Joelinton and Almiron, as the combinations could be really dynamic. At the very least it will be exciting to watch. There really is nothing that groundbreaking about that. Yeah but all that ignores Steve Bruce is manager the bloke is a moron. If the manager was even decent i think people would be more positive.
  13. Yeah but you're using logic, which isn't something which applies when Steve Bruce is the manager.
  14. I'll always love Rafa for all that he tried to do but the sad reality is i checked out long before Rafa was here and i never really recovered as much as i've tried to care i just can't. So this news doesn't really hurt me that much as i stopped caring a long time ago.
