    Nick Pope

Keepers are a funny breed. Quite a lot of their game is played in the head. Even if he's fully fit he wont be match sharp and I wonder whether he'll be hesistent to dive on his shoulder. Any other position if sat hoy em straight back in, but Dubs might be the safer bet till the end of the season, especially since he's been doing better of late. Remember when he came in, looked like he forgot he was a goalkeeper. Not saying he's pope levels or even a decent PL keeper, just might be worth giving pope more time to come back.

All this drama for an extra couple of inches.
  3. Not sure why people are having a dig a moyes. He's being replaced against his will and the next manager lined up before he's finished. Wham are lucky he hasn't just walked away for the last few games and told them to go fuck themselves. Players aren't going to play for him either knowing all this. No wonder he's pissed and swinging. Good on him.
  4. £12m is the fee going round, as I said earlier, anything over £8m is very good money. He's looked good under a decent manager, since the chaos not so much, but you have to remember what the likes of Longstaff, Joelinton, lacelles, Krafth, Murphy etc...looked like under Bruce and realise stability, ability and good management can make a huge difference to a player, especially younger ones.
  5. He's contracted till 2025. When it does happen, this isn't going to be a Stephen glass fee at his age with championship games already, plus another season of exposure.
  6. Wrong forum for that shite patter.
  7. Let's see. I bet you I'm not far off considering Patterson is supposedly nearly a done deal at £12m. No one knows until it's done (even then some are undisclosed - but you'd think this regime will want to show off the values of their players, to encourage others to join and prove the model correct)
  8. Top 8 is incredible for the seasons setbacks. Had probably 3 seasons worth of shite rolled into one. Let's hope that means the next 2 are kinder. Still gutted about he no show against palace. If we'd have won that I firmly believe we'd have finished 5th. Anyway, happy enough. Hope the star players reflect on the tough season and believe in the future.
  9. I do wonder if they'll sell everything that they can, and refill with a few more punts. £12m for Patterson £15m for Clarke £12m for Ballard £12m for Neill £12m for Bellingham £8m Rigg £5m Hume Weirdly, they've got quite a sellable squad. Been unlucky on Cirkin's fitness or there would be another £6m. Biggest issue apart from their HG, most of them have huge sell on clauses. This means reinvestment needs to be smart, they'll also be looking at their own sell on clauses in return, but I think given the ages and experiences so far, you're not looking at much there bar Rigg & Bellingham, the rest are peaking in terms of value. They hate them both, but that model looks like it's working, they just need to learn to appreciate what experience brings as the bedt theyve got atm is O'Nien, who has done fuck all in the game and is limited to championship plodder as a career highlight. Get the right manager in, couple of experienced signings, and they've got quite a bit going for them, but I have the feeling they will sell heavily this summer, and replace with cheaper versions with less expensive and lower ceilings.
  10. That's fucking pathetic. What an embarrassment of a club. Best fans, my arse.
  11. Patterson to Liverpool for £12m according to them. Think that's a fantastic deal for Patterson & Sunderland. Anything over £8m is good business.

This is what happens when you get games. Understand he had defensive work to do, both him and Eddie have said as much, but also feel we've held him back too long. Next season, he's a proper option.
  13. Dokko

    Matt Ritchie

If we see him again after this season, ffs.
  14. Patterson is decent with some limited potential. He's not going to make Pickford levels and at best an average PL keeper. There was a point where he good have been more, but age and exposure has shown he'll not get there now.
