  1. Perhaps both him and the club need a clean break this summer.
  2. That nastiness to our game hasn’t been present all season unfortunately.
  3. Well I’d certainly hope our senior club officials and directors could answer that question in an effective manner over the course of the summer.
  4. My bigger concern is will we actually be ruthless enough in the summer and get rid of the players we need to in order to progress?
  5. Real brittleness about this team away from home this season. They can’t seem to cope.
  6. Pioli’s record against Inter is absolutely tragic mind. As a coach he’s lost the most matches in the history of the Milan derby in all competitions: nine defeats, all in charge of Milan. Milan have won only three of the last 14 matches against Inter.
  7. Grealish has won his trophies so I doubt he cares, but he never seemed to truly align with City’s ethos and playing style. He has a rugged, individualistic aspect to his game, which defines and separates him from other players. I don’t think the management nor culture of modern-day Manchester City is the destination for that type of player. Perhaps somewhere like Man United, Liverpool or Chelsea would have been more exciting, if not necessarily more fruitful in terms of honours won.
  8. Was reading through the recent Q&A session with NUFC journalists on The Athletic and there still doesn’t appear to be any movement on a new training facility. The refurbishment of Benton apparently has us up to “bottom-half PL level”, but no further developments seem to be happening. Appreciate these are long-term, complex infrastructure projects, however I was hoping for more progress on definite plans at this stage and it’s a bit of a disappointment that we’re not further ahead on it. Seems like (to an external observer) the wider infrastructure projects have stalled somewhat - St James expansion feasibility study outcome, NUFC academy, NUFC women’s facilities etc.
  9. Wilson to Gerrard’s Saudi team would be the best-case scenario. Confident they’d stump up £15m or so.
  10. What absolutely scrumptious Barclays results this weekend.
  11. Gibbs-White is a player we’d have to pay a premium price for, but honestly I think he’d be worth it. He’d be incredible under Howe.
