No idea what the original source is but this site normally quotes from other sources (Equipe, RMC, etc).

Will translate.

"Under contract with Lille until June 2013, Yohan Cabaye is the only Lille player who is able to benefit from a €5m minimum release fee. He will soon be in contact with Newcastle, with who an agreement is close. He could make the move official after the 3 France games. After arriving aged 12, he is about to make his first move. The Lillois club have already seemed to have made moves to replace him, with Benoit Pedretti".

this sounds more like our sort of deal tbh, exploiting release clauses and such

then we can say we signed a 10m midfielder when only paying 4m for him

mike ashley ftw!

not complaining like, probably a great idea/signing for all i know

Are we Wenger-ing our squad? French (and other nations) players coming in while our Englishmen are leaving.  :undecided:

Aye, we've got that DRC under-21 star Kazenga Lua Lua playing with the future Nigerian #9 Sammy Ameobi, throw in that Irish/Scottish-descendant Richardson who we plucked from obscurity.

At least we know Tiote is here for life :aww:

He is 5ft 9inch, Gameiro is  5 ft 7 1⁄2 inch.

Graham Carr has been watching Brazillian side Gigantes de Note as well.

Looks like we will be playing carpet football next season. Better lower the curbs at training ground car park or attach ladders to them.

Good. Sick of people thinking you must 6ft + and built like a brick shithouse to play football.

If Barton's off and we're playing 4-3-3/4-5-1, central trio of Cabaye, Tiote and Nolan?

I'd take that, he plays in a 3 man midfield for Lille and it would allow Nolan more license to get forward (who also played in a 3 man at Bolton) and Tiote just to sit at the base and break up play.

Surprised he doesn't fancy the CL like unless he thinks hes done all he can at Lille which is probably true.

All joking aside when we played a forward line of midgets Hendrie, Mira & Robertson we were shite. Of course it was compound that we had signed  Dave Beasant a GK who was used to booting it up field to Fash the bash & Alan Cork.

Just looking at his stats and he doesn't seem to get injured either. Played in more or less all the games last 4 seasons.

Good looking chap too.
