If he does go, the replacement might give us an indication of the likelihood of a takeover. If its an 'Ashley man,' on a long-term contract, we can probably assume that the takeover is a non-starter. If it's a caretaker job then presumably they're keeping the position as vacant as possible for a potential new owner to make their own appointment.
