  1. Trying to find this in amongst the sea of threads on that forum but I can’t. Any link?
  2. He lacks technical qualities and always seems about 2 or 3 seconds behind the play, however this is now compounded as his main strength - work rate - has also seemingly abandoned him. He just ambles around the pitch contributing nothing. He has visibly given up after being robbed of possession in a number of games recently, including an incredible one vs Blackburn where the ref bailed him out. If he's tired then fair enough but he desperately needs to be dropped, for his own sake. I don't like ripping into Newcastle players unless they're obviously taking the piss, which I don't think he is, but he's just not good enough to be starting week in week out.
  3. This camera angle is actually a disgrace. Can’t even see what’s going on.
  4. The derby loss does seem to have tipped them over the edge. Beale was obviously a bit of an idiot but he had no chance from the stands the minute he lost that match. Still think they should have stuck with him.
  5. Belgrade is rightly mentioned and the Sporting Lisbon quarter was horror show few can forget. Although of that meant a great deal at the time.
  6. Translation - I’ve shot my load buying this shower of shite so now I can’t afford a sporting director.
  7. Does highlight how desperate they've become since City have cleaned house. Getting this excited about nicking a sporting director off a club they supposedly look down on? 2nd prize to the Qatari money they were desperate for.
  8. Wasnt Beale doing exactly what Mowbray was doing? Winning a few and losing a few and having them skirting around the playoffs? Isn't that exactly what Sunderland are at present? A half decent but inconsistent championship side.
  9. Actually nowt worse in modern footy than these glory hunters on twitter who've never been to a football game in their lives. The idiots saying 'he asked to leave so let him leave' entirely ignoring or not seeing the context of all this. He's a massively important figure who has only just joined, and he'll know the club inside out. But aye we'll let him go for fuck all to a club we're trying to overtake.
  10. Already mentioned a ton of times but we really need to make this as difficult as we can and be utter c***s when it comes to the negotiations. They've all tried to bully us since the takeover, we need to dish a bit out.
  11. You can't underestimate the absolute mess he must have walked into mind. I have no doubt he will have put real building blocks in place that will aid our academy very positively in the coming years. Didnt we make an absolute slew on youth scouting appointments across the country not long back? All the work of Ashworth no doubt. Doesn't mean I'm not pissed off with him like. First flutter of the eye lashes of a top 6 club and he's wanting out.
  12. I’ve no time for Villa either or their attitude towards us, (although quite enjoy the rivalry we have sorta have with them). So yeh I much preferred it when they were being Bruced to oblivion in the Championship. But I can’t stand Spurs like. This forum has been awash with complaints about the cartel and they are at the heart of it. You just know Levy is spearheading every single attempt to derail our progression and get us back to what we were under Ashley, so if it’s a pick between the two then yes I’m picking Villa.
  13. tbf id rather Villa get in than Spurs and that dick Levy.
  14. He was also the catalyst for the deluge of new age football fans and the ridiculous money that now circulates in the prem. Of course it was all great at the time and the media were drooling over it, but if you were discussing the main problems in football today a lot of roads would lead back to Chelsea 2003 and beyond.
  15. This is Chelsea in a nutshell. Or you say that a club that turned plastic has completely run its course. There's not a shred of honesty or authenticity about them.
