Inverting The Pyramid: A History of Football Tactics by Jonathan Wilson

Anyone read this? Just finished it today, might be a bit late to the party but I waited for it to come out in paperback so I could read it on the bus and not have to lug the hardback round with me.

Cracking read. A genuinely fascinating insight into the history of tactics. Arrigo Sacci's AC Milan was one of my personal favourite parts, but also the history of W-M and 4-2-4 were both enlightening.

Quick quote from a paragraph on Owen struck me as being relevant to this forum:
