  1. Someone needs sacking in the medical department, this should not have happened. Feel massively for the lad.
  2. He definately has my vote still. Would like to see him develop some other tactical approaches however, and be less predictable with subs and starting lineups but I am sure that will change, espcially with a full squad and hopefully some new additions in the summer. It would be good for the player as well as our current apporach must be knackering to maintain over a season. Oh and he needs to get the defense playing like it did last season.
  3. If it is draw, and replay follows, that rule goes out of the window.
  4. How about all premier league teams that are drawn against each other, in whatever round, have to split the match day revenue (ticket sales) for that game only. Lower leagues get the benefit of all the revenue, for obvious reasons, if it is a home game for them.
  5. Arsenal way better than us. Fair play. Not sure how or why we havs gone from best defense to worst so quickly however.
  6. Agree, he can make the team perform at a very high level. I would just like him to be a bit more unpredictable in his management, team setup, tactics etc. It's the same most weeks, same formation, subs at 62-63 minutes etc. I know that it has not be possible due to injuries, and with a bigger squad and more options, maybe he would be a better tactical manager. He is obviously prepared to try stuff (Bruno higher up against Palace) but overall, his "system" seems pretty much the only one we consistently stick to.
  7. The fact it keeps coming up that he might need surgery in the summer says it all really. He will almost certainly miss more games. Agree, it is not worth risking against Arsenal as they are on fire at the moment anyway, take the hit and move on.
  8. Non competes kick in after the contract has ceased usually, not during, as you are still technically employed during gardening leave. I suspect he has a 12 month notice, which both parties would have agreed to, and legally your gardening leave period and only but up to equal to your notice period. He could then start in his new role. The non-compete would then kick at that point, which would essentially restrict him from an anti-competitive actitivies based on his role or information obtained in his current role with us, for an agreed period of time. So Manu would essentially be paying to release him early from his notice period, not his non-compete, which is there for ongoing protection. In reality, people can and do work around this and the onus would be on us proving he had done something wrong, which is clearly very hard to do unless you have all the necessary evidence!
  9. To have been put on Gardening Leave, he will have essentially given notice to terminate his contract, which has must have done. He is therefore serving his notice period, which I suspect will be 6-12 months (most likely 6). Gardening leave is simply a period where the person is serving notice, but not fulfilling their daily responsibilities. He is still under contract for that period, and any breach of contract would be dealt with accordingly. There will also be non-compete clauses, I would have thought which might live beyond his notice period (poaching staff/players etc). Hence, the only way he could start earlier, and be free of his contractual notice would be for him to buy out his contract (at his expense) or Manu negotiate a deal on his behalf, which I they are pressumably going to try and do.
  10. Surely they could just allocate a % of sales to a certain age profile (or length of time you have a season ticket) if that was the case, and a lower number of points needed to get a ticket - that could even it up a bit and encourage more to apply that way. Just a thought.
  11. This is one of a few must win games for us for the remainder of the season, if we really want Europe.
  12. Howe basically says nothing has changed since he came in, which I find completely baffling! WTF did we hire him for then!
  13. I am not a season ticket holder and nor do I live in Newcastle. However, I know lots of people who are. I must have bought well over 150 away tickets though friends, for myself and friends who prefer away games. Tickets were always at face value, and we never sold a single ticket on for profit - we gave them away if we could not go. So for me, the old system worked fine, if it was not abused, which clearly it can be. Yes my firends now have shit loads of loyalty points and can always get tickets, but I do not see any harm in that - they could just as easily go to away games, and often do. And no, I did not get a final ticket - through him.
  14. Total f***** mare if that is true. You would hope they back date it and say he has done his time.

I have convinced myself that before the last few games, but was proved wrong each time.
