About SteV

  1. That was the 92nd minute as well. Would take a set of balls to let it fly that long if you had a significant wager on it.
  2. The new charge is dated until the 12th October, which is basically when news of the investigation broke, with him being questioned at the Italy camp. So you could probably argue it started before then, so he was probably betting whilst under investigation (without knowing it), but most likely wasn’t betting once he knew of the investigation.
  3. Indeed, if we were to revisit all the sage opinions on how ‘fucked’ Spurs were from around this time onwards last season, they’d look fairly silly. All it ever takes is two or three signings to work out really well and you can right back with a positive feel around the club.
  4. Yes, that would definitely classify him as dodgy….
  5. If anything this adds weight to the claim that he was addicted. If he’d rocked up here and just completely stopped, it would look far more iffy than the fact he continued until it all came out.
  6. Aye, if he was found guilty I’m fairly sure common sense would prevail and they’d just issue a retrospective ban to cover the period he’s already been banned. *mind how the fuck the Italian FA (or whichever body it was) can sort this kind of thing in a couple of weeks or so, but it takes our FA 6 months+, is ludicrous.
  7. Does the taxi driver have to be dodgy? Is there an issue with crossing the border, having a few pints, then crossing back?
  8. Bit of a different interview with Eddie: https://youtu.be/ySpQhrdLgE4?si=c6kqRNe2SDuJfRcs
  9. Yep, looks to be only Bruno, Isak and Trippier ahead of him at present. Seems, like he was on around £35k at Villa, so if it is right, that’s a massive jump. But as I say, getting a PL to PL move is generally where the money is at.
  10. You’re never really going to know for sure, but the main sites generally have overall figures that are similar to what clubs report in accounts. The likes of Capology are a serious company, and whilst they’re US-based where sports people’s salaries are public, it’s still worth taking what they report seriously, even if you can’t just assume it’s 100% accurate.
  11. Unfortunately there is. All the independent wage sites report him to be on that, and whilst they are not conclusive proof, they are usually fairly accurate. You also have to consider that he’s had two PL club to PL club moves, both times for a fee somewhere in the region of £10m - £15m. No doubt he will have clicked a wage increase each time.
