Arsenal and Manchester City have been made aware that Newcastle United will listen to offers in excess of £80m for Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, 26, this summer. Doesn't look like he can play on the right and he certainly prefers not too. Barnes can only play on the left and we knew that when we bought him. A pretty typical Newcastle conundrum and self inflicted lack of joined up thinking.

We really lack technically competent players and yet both Hall and Livramento are among the best technicians at the club and yet they hardly play. I worry if Eddie gets his way in the transfer market that he'll continue to prioritize athletes over more technical players.
