  1. Bizarre take. None of them are good enough.
  2. Told by a very highly regarded physio local to the North East, who presents to health conferences worldwide on the use of cutting-edge injury diagnostic and rehab equipment, that he has offered use and advice re such equipment to rhe club several times. He's even offered to work for free to gather content for his PhD studies. But the response has always been negative - on the basis that the players are "used to" the kit already used by the club, mainly because it's relatively light-duty equipment which makes their injuries feel temporarily better - and "doesn't hurt". And what the players want, they get...
  3. So Howe NOT winning us the league is some sort of measure of his failings? Utter nonsense. We can't win the league, end of. Not while FFP maintains the established order of the Premier League.
  4. People saying he is more physical than Miley is barmy. Was absolutely spent in the last 10 minutes of the 90 and in extra-time (he only needed to stand up to put that sitter away), and just flopped over yet again whenever touched. Painful to watch.
  5. Our Lenovo Chromebook won't tell us..
  6. That's exactly the point. Brighton have led the way in using "waffle and data" - and now AI - to identify players that other clubs don't . . . and made £160m on Caicedo and Cucurella alone. Our record sale is still Andy Carroll...
  7. Absolutely bang on. I know a few people who are involved in football data development, and Brighton was the first UK club to use AI-driven software which map every physical movement performed by every player in every half-decent league in the world to not only offer a picture of how good that player is now, but predict how they are going to perform in future (e.g. have they peaked? Will the way they move result in significant injury risks further down the line?). Crucially for Brighton's business model, it's not only informed their decision on who and when to buy, but who and when to sell. For example, they were offering Tariq Lamptey around the Premier League a couple of years ago just as he was making his first big impact in the team - because their data told them his style of play would cause persistent injury problems and he had already hit his maximum cash value. Unlike with the likes of Cucurella and Caicedo, they didn't manage to offload Lamptey.
  8. Rubbish. He's been consistently excellent for months.
  9. Made £1.3bn revenue between them in the last reported financial year vs our £250m.
  10. The reaction of the fans they zoomed in on after Isak's penalty was so depressing. Maybe don't expect full-on limbs these days when you score a penalty in added time with the win already nailed on, but at least some fist pumps. The lads on camera looked they were at the f*cking theatre. I've read some on Twitter saying we shouldn't shaming fans who don't sing away from home. For me, that's utter bollocks. The sole purpose of away fans is to lend enough vocal support to reduce the opposition's home advantage. And to get mortal, obviously.
  11. Off the map - even accounting for Wilson's loyalties - to compare the way City fans regarded Mark Hughes and the level of respect Howe has earned from us. Beyond ludicrous.
  12. Prime Tiote much better? Dear me. Bedwetting on here is out of hand.
  13. Yep. Yet they make no mention of being run all over Roker after the "over the wall" derby in '92.
  14. Lock this thread. Embarrassing meltdoon.
