People linking the House of Fraser buyout to our lack of transfer spend are making us look a bit thick.

Are they hell.

Linking the club's incoming funds with Ashley's buyout, definitely. But there's a clear and obvious link between the club's lack of spending and Ashley's investment elsewhere.

Got to disagree. It's his desire to reach the aim (staying in the prem while spending as little as possible). Do you really think if the HoF deal wasn't in the offing NUFC would have spent more ?

This. NUFC's transfer business does not affect whether Sports Direct acquire House of Fraser ffs. They're not all little pots of money that Ashley moves around as he sees fit

Most people know this but its an emotional thing to find something else to have a go at Ashley, and my god theres a lot, but keep it factual or we look daft. Sing somerhing better, more questioning than get out of club you fat cockney bastard, then the medi may listen and ask it themselves. We all saw how Ashley doesnt like being questioned.

No I don't, but that's irrelevant to the point that he invests in other areas but not in NUFC. It doesn't make anyone look thick at all, it's the reality of the situation.

There is a direct correlation between SD capitol and the free advertising at SJP so it's not a massive leap to suggest that money is the club's money that should have been used to pay for advertising and reinvested in the club.

Madras and Johnny, you're both missing the point, which is canny rich considering Madras' point that others are being thick.

Where is anyone saying that NUFC's transfer business affects whether Sports Direct acquire House of Frasier? The point is that he'll happily invest elsewhere, but not with NUFC, it's that simple.

Of course it does when many on social media are spouting that that's where our transfer kitty has gone. There's no link between our spending and the HoF buyout.

He could well point out that he has invested in NUFC., beyond the buyout and paying off debts, like he did with us, let's see if he invests.

Well I disagree. Just because money isn't going directly from one area to another doesn't change the fact that Ashley has a choice over what he invests in and what he doesn't. In that sense it may as well be the same money.

He could but he'd be telling lies and half truths. The debt was there and had to be paid because he didn't do due diligence, the further investment was as a result of the two relegations that he and he alone caused.

I agree, there’s plenty already there to take Ashley up on & criticise him without inventing scenarios with no tangible evidence of their relation to NUFC, which is all we should be concerning ourselves with and using our energy on imo. I understand using the HoF deal to make jokes, but to include it in our cause as evidence of his neglect of the club isn’t really helpful.

Everyone is saying that all over social media. The title of this thread jokes about that

I Agree with all that.... but it has nowt to do with the purchase of HoF and that in relation to NUFC investment.
