  1. Just a thought hopefully not giggs but I wonder whether a no deal hoving into view has had an effect on the takeover(s)? In the event of no deal the pound will likely tank maybe 10-15% which is not a small number on 350 million and a nice saving if you just wait a few months. No deal wasn't really on when this supposedly started in February?

    Tony Green

Green had a unique style which involved changing direction so quickly that the player he beat would become so disoriented that he would often fall over. What a player he was and I would put him at least on a par with gazza and Beardsley.
  3. Only hitting his business and image (!) is going to work. If someone can arrange to rent a balloon (Trump style as a fat pig) or giant poster next to the Tyne bridge with maybe him as a fat snake crushing the life out of the club I would definitely contribute.Would need to have him in a sports direct shirt of some sort to make the association.

Waste of hope, tbh. We're definitely gonna lose them all. I'm still sitting on the fence and saying I don't give a s**** either way. Can't quite summon the enthusiasm to hope we go down but know next season in the top league will be the usual rubbish unless Ashley buckles and sells. We need to lance the boil and get him out so if going down is what it takes....
  5. The only way to get Ashley out is to damage his brand. The way to do that is to present an empty stadium to the tv cameras. Three or four home games without any fans and he is gone.
  6. Spot on - an empty St James for even few weeks would shift him because it would reflect on SD. Until then we will remain a zombie club
  7. Unfortunately this in a nutshell sums up where we are as a club and where we are going. Ashley has drained the club of passion and purpose and our fans meekly accept this.
  8. ok here's an idea to make him uncomfortable. We all chip in and get a big billboard poster in some prominent place in the city (ideally near the bridge so it can be seen on the way in/out) with something like the ss newcastle going down with him as a smug faced captain on it. Er.... you get the idea some sort of anti SD advertising message which just makes him think?
  9. Hawk is right - we are being punished for daring to criticise him ( and kill his kids of course). Why can't people see that we have to get rid of him and that the only way to do that is to become an embarrassment to him. I was rubbished earlier in the year for saying that an EMPTY St James park for a month in the season would see him off - it's as simple as that. It makes me despair when I see people staying in the ground to clap off the players out of a misplaced sense of loyalty which he exploits and laughs at. It simply gives him the confidence to carry on.
  10. I think the massive (negative) publicity would drive him out or at least piss him off enough to go. The alternative is apathy and resignation that this is how it must be.....
  11. He is killing the club. Slowly. It's in the hands of the fans - if nobody went to the game for a few weeks how long would he last?
