On 65k, hasn't played in 2 1/2 seasons for us.

Assuming Longstaff (Sean) gets somewhat back to the form we saw last season at some point (if that even happens with us again) then this will have been the right decision

Which just comes to show how much of a stinker in form Longstaff is having right now to even consider this guy leaving being a mistake. He had the odd decent game but was mostly timid and not upto pace.

One was willing to compromise on his contract in order to pursue regular first team football, the other knows he'll never earn close to what he does here and thus has no interest in coming to an agreement for termination of his contract with the club.

I'm still in disbelief Bruce didn't make him a key player.

Yeah, Ki is about short passes and movement, Bruce prefers long balls from the back and a big lad striker. Not even sure he knows how to implement that, but like the old days under Graham Taylor, probably just going off stats without even understanding them properly.

I liked this guy and feel he's been shit on by Bruce and the club. I'll bet they didn't pay up his contract either

I’m not sure how anyone can suggest that this decision isn’t good for both the player and the club. He hasn’t been hard done by, he simply didn’t do enough to deserve a regular 1st team place. I’d love to see a heat map of him on the pitch, he looks like a player who needs the game to be played at his pace and where he can be the pivot. Not suited to us at all.

Made about 3 noticeable passes in his time here. Shame, I'll miss the easy £5m bonus of selling him on FM.

He was decent for a squad player, not first team quality, not for where we should be hoping to be in anyway.

I suspect he believes he stands a better chance of getting a club as a free agent in the near future, hence why he has agreed to leave.

He was 6th choice behind Shelvey, Hayden, Bentaleb & Longstaffx2. Was pointless him staying at the club when he'd likely not play another minute.

Colback is as bad as any mercenary in the sport mind. It’s the clubs’ fault though, paying the likes of him millions where on the talent scale, he ought to be non league at best.

He came because we had a shit budget and Rafa needed some reinforcements centrally. He clearly was not fancied by Bruce and not playing. So the chance he was able to get to leave the club to CONTINUE TO PLAY FOOTBALL, He left.

How is he any way shape like Colback?

Far too good for the current team.

Way too intelligent, technical and patient in his play.

Not enough long balls, last ditch tackles and sideways and backward passing.

I'm sure his life is infinitely better off.
