  1. Yeah, got to be one of the least athletic midfield pairings in the league. It’s no coincidence how much better we looked with Willock starting yesterday. He’s not a defensive midfielder but his liveliness and general pressing helps to relieve the pressure on our defence... and he got his reward for it with the first goal too!
  2. Thought we were nailed on to go down after Brighton. Been quite the turnaround with the return of key players and Willock bailing us out. Got results against some good sides too. I was very concerned we’d end up with a last day showdown at Fulham, which I don’t think my heart could’ve took tbh
  3. If Wilson and Maxi had have been fit over Feb/March time then we definitely would have picked up wins in the games against Wolves and Villa, possibly against West Brom too. Out attacking play has improved dramatically since Jones came in. Defence still shite mind.
  4. And Bentaleb. Sean Longstaff was playing well before this idiot came in. He’s had another promising centre midfielder come through the academy who signed a new contract but is now nowhere near the team?
  5. This whopper is still confident that we won’t be in a scrap come the final day. He’s not wrong tbf, we’ll be down before then at the current rate. Also still trotting out the utter bullsh*t that we’ve only lost to Man Utd and Chelsea in our last 6 and also won 2 of those games.
  6. The only hope we have is if he is more desperate to set up shop in the Middle East than he is confident on gambling on us coming back up. I agree that it’s very unlikely he’ll ever lower his price though. If he won’t spend 4 million of the clubs money to preserve its current value then there’s no way he’ll be happy to lose out on 100 million himself.
  7. Has there ever been a club ran as poorly as us at this level? Every single decision this regime makes just seems to defy any sort of logic. Happy to pay 4 mil to hire Bruce but won’t pay the same to sack him when it inevitably went tits up. Penny pinch on transfers to save money but have no contingency plans in place in case the worst happens and we get relegated. I just can’t believe a multi million pound organisation can be so incompetent from top to bottom.
  8. They’ll be back as soon they get the chance as well. Just so they can have a day out on the p*ss...it’s not like you can’t go out on the lash if you don’t go to the match ffs!
  9. If Ashley got 300 mil in compensation he would probably just let us rot as a championship team knowing he’s already got his money from us and still being able to take the p*as out of us. Alternatively, he might gamble on getting us back up and the race to 17th place starts again.
  10. Aye, we were brilliant that day. Should’ve been at least 5-0 in the end. Imagine actually being able to dominate a game from start to finish!
  11. I think we need 7 points from the next 4 games at a minimum to have a chance.
  12. The problem is even when we look ok, we are still conceding really soft goals which is the hallmark sign of a relegation team. Fulham on the other hand seem to have sorted this problem and look very difficult to beat. I think it will be between us and Burnley, with Burnley coming out on top.
  13. This is why a lot of our fans need to wake up and realise that we’re the only ones who can do something. Unfortunately the ones who do try end up being sniggered at by other fans and we end up back at square one. Nobody who is sane should have any intention of returning to SJP next season if Ashley is here. I’ve always tried to be civil with match goers but they’ve got no f*cking right to complain if they’re gonna be straight back to the ground in a few months. The club will already have lost a lot of income during Covid and the fans now have a huge chance to cause a further drain on this which could lead Ashley to lowering his price. Those who harp on about always being loyal to the club need to ask themselves what loyalty the club has given back to them?
  14. Tbf to Bruce, he has managed to change things since he come in. He’s turned us from a solid mid table outfit into utter dogsh*t. Jones has exposed him for the fraud that he is.
  15. 9 for me. All self inflicted yet again. I shouldn’t get angry because the club really isn’t worth caring about anymore but we all know it’s hard to stop caring. Just sick to f*cking death of our fan base being constantly sh*t on and having nothing to look forward to. We had the carrot dangled last year with the takeover but in true NUFC fashion it didn’t happen. If by some miracle it ends being passed, we will be relegated and be stuck with Ashley as a mid table championship team. Just hate every single thing about this club and what it represents. It is the absolute antithesis of what a football club should try to be and how it represents their region.
