Imagine Bruce’s underdogs were to pull off a win man, the Chronicle would call for him to be knighted, citing 5 reasons for it. Nufc.com would write how one man could go onto become the unlikeliest heroes bigger than them all. Keys and co will crown him manager of the decade and fans will hit social media telling everyone Rafa would never have got a win against Man City and how Rafa’s fan boys must feel silly now.

Hopefully Man City will record a record away win, the humiliation, however, will never top the time the owner replaced Rafa Benitez with Steve Bruce, paying 4m to a Championship Club for him in the process.

Bruce is going to get a result against them isn’t he?

Hope Mike treats the players to the most cheapest curry place he can find in town for dinner tonight and the whole lot are down with food poisoning tomorrow. We forfeit the game and only have a 0-3 scoreline to live with.

Asked by reporters if Steve Bruce has looked at last season's 2-1 home win against Man City in the run up to this game.

"What's gone on in the past was a long, long time ago"

“We're practically a different team. We'll focus on what we can do and hopefully get the result. That would be nice."

Bet that question killed him.

"What's gone on in the past was a long, long time ago, but we've only won two of our last twenty matches against Manchester City, so maybe the players in this practically different team are too used to losing"

Isn't this "practically different team" the same one he was saying he couldn't coach the Rafa out of just a few weeks ago?

More likely to get a point here than at villa. Negative shutout football with a lucky hoof to asm could win the day. Expect city to have 80-85% possession at least.

Man City will win by at least 3 clear goals.

Harmison calling for Carroll to be ‘unleashed’ on TalkShite this morning

81 Million on a front 3 with 1 goal?

Carroll has already been 'unleashed' a few times this season and barely looks like he could blow out a candle these days. Stiil, I'm all for unleashing him from the start tomorrow, if only to see if he can manage 45mins of football.
