For me, these are the only acceptable numbers for their positions.

GK: 1, 12

RB: 2

LB: 3

CB: 4, 5

LW: 6,7,11,14

RW: 7,8,11

CM: 6,7,8

FW: 9,10,11,12

Shouldn't the reserve keeper be 13?

Yeah, I had it on therem because it's right really. I just dont like it.

That is how it is supposed to be in a plain 4-4-2 IMO  :smug:

When managers and players are interviewed and put the words "football club" at the end everytime they say their clubs name, absolutely pointless, we know what they are talking about for fucks sake.

Paul Merson - Tried giving him a chance but he really is as thick as mince.

Ian Payne and Jim White on SSN.

Oh and Steve Curry i think he's called, the Man Utd fan/journalist/fat cuntface.

Isn't the number 6 traditionally for centre-backs?

If we are talking tradition, half of the modern day numbers were totally different years ago, back in the day of christmas tree formations and nobbley knees.

1-11 squad numbers are an anachronism. There is no point to them, and I do not know why players should not be allowed to express their individuality.

As far as i can see, the problem people have is when players have ridiculous squad numbers like 77 or 99 - usually because it's sported on their respective shirts due to some form of sponsorship or other commercial bollocks. Some people like tradition; that sort of thing just epitomises what's wrong with the game.

That said, stuff like Gallas - a CB - being number 10 is arguably even more irritating.

Think Boularouz was 9 for Chelsea.

fwiw I still think 14 is the best number to have.

Cruyff, Ginola, Henry. Win.

N'Dogbia.

Haha, aye but I was trying to sell the number 14, not detract from it.

I forgot Dogba

Assuming you mean Drogba, he isn't 14. Apologies if you mean someone else
