About SteV

  1. Be in by half time against Arsenal.
  2. Jesus, Mount’s first season has been a total disaster. Quarter of a million a week for next to fuck all return.
  3. The problem with getting players in on massive wages (even if they are a free transfer) is that it sets a precedent for what you’re willing to pay. So then you end up putting more players in your squad towards that top end and it becomes difficult to manage. At the minute we’ve got Bruno and now probably Joelinton (plus potentially Isak if he gets a new deal) up at that top end. But all of them have proven that they can do it for us. Whacking new (non-elite) players straight in with them is asking for trouble IMO.
  4. From Swiss Ramble. Scandalous that Man Utd end up with almost twice as much as us: https://x.com/swissramble/status/1788839590805098691?s=46&t=OQLMckSuatbpqWF13Al4mQ
  5. Kamara’s on £150k a week like. Difficult for us to compete with that now, let alone back then.
  6. Sounds like Becky is canny ruthless. But that’s what she’s employed to be.
  7. This isn’t the PFA Young Player. Fans can vote, although not sure if that’s the determining factor?

    Matt Targett

Aye, feels very unlikely he would be living in a city centre flat at 28 and married.
  9. I think he’s went a long way to answering number 4 in the last 2/3 months.
  10. I think he just wants the people around him to be as committed to things as he is. If you’re not, then he’ll not rant and rave, he’ll just cut you loose. See Ryan Fraser. And probably Dan Ashworth.
  11. In a way that’s probably a good thing in fairness terms, as it reduces the chances of the extra place constantly being the same two countries.
  12. Yeah, so it’s kinda 50/50 as to whether having more teams is a help or a hindrance in that regard I suppose. Arguably having more in the CL is a hinderance, as more likely that at least some get knocked out early.
  13. If Dortmund win the CL and finish 5th in the league, then Germany get 6 CL places next season. Not sure if that means one place less in the EL or ECL, but if not probably makes it slightly harder for England to get the extra CL spot by being in top two country coefficients. @Paullow any idea?
  14. Unlike ETH, Eddie wouldn’t be stupid enough to put a midfielder at CB. Just play Dalot or Wan-Bissaka there and stick someone else at full-back. Surely much better to have a major weakness there than at CB?
