The difference between optimists and pessimists is not necessarily that one is closer to reality than the other, like some of you like to tell yourselves. The big difference is that pessimists often make everyone else miserable and then struggle to understand why people don't like them.

I have buddies who were jailed by Hiftar's government in Eastern Libya for years who are more hopeful about the future than a few on here.

I can think of a couple of bizarre alternatives. Mourinho, and the alternating coach thing. But I honestly don't think that he actually believed it when he suggested the latter either, which he basically said later.

Nothing but impressed with him handling this difficult season. He certainly wasn't perfect, and has a number of lessons to learn, but it really is an amazing achievement to be where we are with 3 games to play.
