The last line in that statement ffs "Affordable".. That is exactly why he's kept his job, because they don't see the difference between entertaining football and scraping a win here and there. Don't get me wrong by the way, I enjoy winning matches just as anyone else, but I want to be proud of my team, come out of games thinking, we deserved that, that was an awesome performance by us today etc but lately, especially this season every win has felt a bit meh.. as we've sneaked a win here and there. Even the Southampton game when we won 4-2 we didn't particular play well and 3/4 of our goals were fortunate. For me I want to aim for as high as possible, but I'd take mid-table next year if our football improved and we showed signs of becoming a proper team that was gelling more with each game.

I'm honestly confused at why he still gets support, yes us lot on here are probably on the very negative end on the scale (we hate the bloke for the way he gets up in the mornings) but even people who are sitting on the fence must see we are absolutely shit as a team and expecting it to magically change after 2 seasons isn't going to happen. We finished 5th because of luck, a few good games here and there and some ridiculous goals from ba and then cisse. Apart from the away game at west brom, we never once played amazing football and it continued on into this season, in fact it got worse. We are honestly the worst team in the league, bar maybe norwich/sunderland at going forward and that is just absurd when you think of some of the players we do have. We have zero movement, our players seem to have an inability to pass to each other apart from at the back and side to side, and generally we don't move forward as a team, we try and kick it up to cisse as fast as possible and 'hope' something happens. If it's true he is staying, I hope we have at least 5 new players lined up because if we don't, we're going to have another season like this one. IMO I think we need 2 strikers, 2 wingers (we have fuck all in this department) and would suit pardews style more and a cb.

Random question, but would anyone be happy if we finished 5th next year playing the crap we've seen this season?

Unfortunately I think 5th place last year has saved him because no one can honestly believe if you went by this season alone he deserves to be manager still. Our 'football' isn't even championship standard 3/4 of the time, never mind premiership. Right now, honestly I believe we'll be in a relegation battle again next season.
  5. Don't pass this on yet I may have a taker. Yeah that's fine.
  6. I probably won't be able to make it now due too a few things changing since I agreed to this, mainly I've started up my own company so I can no longer spare the funds. Due to the fact I've left it as late as I have if someone wants my place, I'm basically willing to give it to them for free, as I already paid for it and I feel crap that I can't go as it's something I really wanted to do.
  7. For us, I'd take a cup as I think we'd be a big enough attraction down there to get the players we need to eventually come back. I think if I was a Wigan fan, id take the points. If they go down, Martinez will leave and imo they will just become one of the pack and will struggle to gain promotion again.

Genuine question, but are those shots/chances just half chances, ie a ball has fallen to a player and they've just hit it? Because as a team, in terms of passing the ball up the pitch/playing through balls to our forward players, overlapping runs etc we create fuck all. Our team is static as fuck, and no one ever moves for anyone.

I actually hate the guy, as I said in one of the other threads, with him in charge next season we will be relegated.
  10. Forget about finding a manager to challenge for the top 4, if we don't get rid of him now we'll be battling relegation next year. Fact is.. as a team we're non existent, we create fuck all, our players don't even move for each other.. it actually can't get much worse? People are honestly dreaming if they think we'll be mid table next year under this clown. If boswinga hadn't of fucked up today, we'd be down.. and that's how close it's come with this group of players.

Unless we get humilated (not beyond the realms of possibility), I can't see there being any discontent at SJP whatsoever. The number of people who have fallen for his injuries/Europe patter is unbelievable. I'd be amazed and very disappointed and frustrated if there isn't some anti Pardew demos at the game next week. No chance IMO. Away fans were singing his name today, and I bet the same will happen against Arsenal unless we get f***ing stuffed. I honestly don't get it, I mean right now we are playing like mid table championship side at best.. Surely they see the same shit we do?

Partly because the players aren't good enough? It's 100% Pardew. No doubt at all. I meant haven't been good enough. partly. Because of his tactics like. It's so criminal how bad we look as a team, I swear match day is the first time some of these players have passed to each other all week.

Hate him.. he's destroyed everything good about our club after we came back up. Everything is so fucking negative, even our fucking throw ins are fucking negative, we always throw them back the ways in case we get counted ffs.
  14. He was laughing away during that 2nd half at one point. Absolutely disgusting attitude from our manager again by the way, there was no way we had any intention of trying to win that game 2nd half, absolutely none at all. Our entire 2nd half plan was to boot the ball at Cisse, then shola when he came on. Doesn't work, never has.. but we continuously do it over and over. Honestly so sick of him now, if we are to go down I want us to have a go, not bore us to death and go down with a limp.

I'm sat here watching this match thinking even when we win we're boring as fuck compared to someone like villa. Hate him for sucking the joy out of the club tbf.
