  1. He'll have a much better chance of staying healthy in the Saudi league and would probably score a load of goals, good move for all concerned. Also still reckon Wilson would be a decent signing for a team in a more competitive league than the Saudi. Just don't think his body can handle out style, but few teams demand as much physically from forwards as we do.
  2. I mean there's a fair chance Eddie will want a wide option who offers something different so MGW could absolutely be an option to play RW. If not, I do get the feeling that Eddie really loves the flat three in midfield for how effective it is in the high press. Ideally we'd have someone at LCM who can offer what MGW or Maddison do in the final third while still having the work rate and fitness levels to play CM for us. From what I've seen of MGW he looks like he'd be good enough in terms of work rate to play CM for us, but I couldn't say for sure.
  3. Increasingly interested in our wide players being direct, pacey goal threats. If you want to really build the team around Isak you give him free reign to come deep, operating almost like a false nine with the wide men attacking the space that he creates by pulling CBs away from.
  4. Aye, quite sad seeing people get excited about a football club going out of business. Could just as easily be us in their position, thousands of good people will lose their football club and a huge part lf their identity. Imagine as a fellow football fan being excited about that. And why? Because their goalkeeper is a tosser or some of their fans are scumbags?
  5. Talk that Guler might go out on loan from Real next season. We were supposedly interested last summer, might be an option if finances are tight and we have other positions we need to add in too.
  6. Think Miley ultimately might end up as a #6. In the system we play, at least.
  7. Doesn't seem clear and obvious, was probably outside but can make a case it continues into the box.
  8. We desperately need a RW. The fall off from Barnes and Gordon to our other wide options in terms of how much threat they pose is massive. We need depth, not only to cover injuries and rotate from game to game but also to make changes during games as the front three start to tire. Was fine today as we were 3-0 up once they started to slow down but more often than not the game is still in the balance at that point. If we're bringing on players like Almiron and Murphy we're gonna struggle to close games out or find goals when we need them. Much will depend on finances and our ability to shift deadwood, of course. Ideal scenario for me would be moving on Almiron and Wilson and bringing in two to replace them. A top class, first team ready RW to challenge Gordon and Barnes to start. A versatile young player who can play wide or through the middle. Keep Minteh around as well for me, looks like an absolute handful to be throwing on for the last 20 minutes of the games when they get stretched.

Jesus his accent is starting to be a Scouse-Geordie hybrid
  10. It's a better one to not give a yellow for than the Burn and Maddison incidents IMO. Those two were just cynical fouls, Bissouma is at least and honest attempt to win the ball?
