  1. Get it uploaded man. Need to make a decision about which shirt I'm going to wear, and who I'm going to keep in my pocket.
  2. Any advance on the team selections? Need to start giving some shit to the opposition so we can get a bit of bite in to the games. <Insert violent sliding tackle gif here>
  3. It should come as no surprise to anyone that I am interested in eating. Count me in for multiple meals.
  4. You appointing yourself director of football mate? I hope you have a full dossier on each player, scouting reports and such like. Not just relying on grainy YouTube clips.
  5. Although you could still boycott them on the grounds that he always will be a massive piece of shit.
  6. When you're assessing player quality just remember I'm old, have shit knees, am overweight, and my style of play is far more suited to 11-a-side football where I can hide my deficiencies with long range sprayed passes and a dominant aerial performance.
  7. I'm confirmed for this now. All booked up. I'll be able to be be in town by about 7 on the Friday I'd imagine.
  8. Massive night tomorrow, little Hampton & Richmond Borough, the mighty Beavers, live on BT Sports againts Oldham. Been getting more and more excited as we get closer to the game. Will be nearly 3000 there, Oldham haven't sold their 450 allocation - which isn't surprising as it is a Monday night and on the telly. Ridiculous decision to move to the Monday given the distance Oldham fans would have to travel. Would have made more sense to be the Saturday or Sunday game. I don't give us much chance other than the usual 'anything can happen on the night' possibility. Oldham are in poor form but we've been poor for the last five weeks with the exception of our 4Q Rd game. Still, win or lose will be a big day for the club. The TV fee alone is £75k, plus the nearly £60k prize money we have won so far will enable to manager to make improvements to the squad and keep the club bank account healthy for a couple of seasons. The 2nd round draw is being held in the club bar before the game too, and that is the first time we'll have our name in the second round draw, so we're getting plenty of exposure. Enjoy the game if you watch it on tv, we'll put a good atmosphere on for sure. BEEEEAAAAAVVVVVEEEERRRRRRSSSSSS! #vivalabeaver
  9. Yeah, I can't make this. Too much on at work and not enough money to spare. If there is a plan for something towards the back end of the season, and with enough notice, I'd be interested.

Made me think of the Dads Army episode..." You too are going on the list. What is your name?"..."Don't tell him Pike!" Spot on though: utter cretinous things to be saying from Shola. Tripe as a player and tripe opinions re the club. Shoot the fucker. I was thinking more of Arya Stark's kill list in GOT. Just casually sitting here sharpening my blade reciting over and over again. Ashley, Charnley, Pardew, The Bishop, Joe Fucking Kinnear, The Imp (Wise, obvs), David Craig, Shola.....there's room for some more.

    Shola Ameobi

Anyone hear him on sky before the game? 'All credit to Mike', 'No debt', 'Sound financial footing'. How does he not get it? Played under SBR, came through the youth during KK's time, was here when the shit hit the fan with Keegan's second spell. Idolised by fans despite an utterley average career. Good one Shola, you're going on the list now.
  12. We're away to Truro City tomorrow. Giving it a miss, we've got them at home in the 4th Qual the week after too. Seriously hope that doesn't go to a replay. Not sure how I'd get to/from Cornwall on a Tuesday night. Generally we are out of the cup by now though, only made R1 twice.
  13. Hope it goes better for you than when I was there for that game last season. Ye got thumped. Unsurprisingly, Hamburg have looked abysmal the last two games. The defending tonight in particular has been hilariously bad.
  14. Put me down as a maybe. It'll be a late call dependent on the equation of wife+cash+work creating the right outcome.
  15. They have tried to improve the structure but the problem is the leagues at step 7. Having three leagues doesn't work. There should be 2 or 4 but none of them are prepared to accept change as they all believe they are the best and don't want to dilute the pool of clubs. Also, if you look at the pyramid as a map, there are way more step 7, 8 and 9 clubs in the south east than anywhere else. It's so skewed that the conference north has had teams from Essex playing in it. It's a huge expense to move up from local leagues to even regional. Most clubs wouldn't survive so they don't apply for promotion, players also don't always want to move through. Unless they seriously think they can make it they might as well stay at a lower level. It's basically a system that has been fucked for a long time and isn't likely to ever get fixed.
