Not sure that would stand up if there was a thorough plan for looking after the park and adding more parkland elsewhere. I want to protect the park as well but it seems like making a much cooler overall situation would be a good idea for the city.
Was a weird period because you knew it was just a sticking plaster and Ashley would torpedo things eventually. But having at least one genuine football person in charge was amazing for a while.
Tend to agree, it doesn't really make football or financial sense to sell Bruno or Isak because we'd end up needing several new signings just to finish in the same league position or worse.
Maybe wishful thinking but that's how I see it too.
Think an issue might be whether we decide to go for a more mobile striker like a cheaper Isak, or a different style like a target man.
Ideally both I guess, a lot of PL teams have multiple average strikers instead of one good one.
What Howe said about being an 'efficient team' after the match is the most telling for me. Even more important than intensity in a way.
The Howe footballer is efficient - know the plan, make a decision, execute quickly and with quality.
The pass that Barnes put into Gordon for that blocked shot was a great sign. He could easily have just shot himself. Did he do it for Isak as well, when he stepped inside the defender and got blocked?
I'm not sure if it's the plan for the permanent front 3 but it's an extremely group set of players.
