  1. Where do West Ham get this idea that they are a footballing/attacking/entertainment team? I've heard them go on about the West Ham way, but I don't recall them ever being a particularly good footballing side. Yes they've had decent seasons and results but I recall most of their managers being pretty dull and dour
  2. He would....he's not a "fancy foreign name" (Copyright Sam Allardici), and doesn't have a trophy haul to back him up. He'd probably be good for them, but reckon their fans are looking more for a Zidane type appointment.
  3. This exactly. They've played it safe and the season we have will dictate as to how it's remembered. Nothing wrong with it but nothing spectacular
  4. I am considerably....considerably richer than yaaoo
  5. Sincerely believe Ratcliffe is arrogant enough to do it thinking he knows football, and a few half decent results at international level is enough to ignore the massive failure at club level. It would be worth it even for the short time Southgate would inevitably last there. Just a shame that Southgate doesn't seem to have the ego himself to think he could make something of Man U
  6. Last few weeks looks like he's started the Joelinton process on working with what we have available rather than waiting on the walking wounded to come back, and starting to get performances out of them. Kind of like FM when you find a combination of s*** players in a certain formation and stick with them long enough it works. Years ago and obviously a bug in the game, but managed to get Darlington to an FA Cup final doing this....without save/rage quit

    Alexander Isak

A whole world of nope. He might be a better footballer...but Shearer was a better goalscorer and could score any type of goal....headers, skillful chips, long distance blasters, and took a wicked free kick. Could also drag the whole team to a result no matter how bad we were playing. Isaks bloody good and definitely better in terms of trickery and fast feet but he's got a long way to go before anyone can claim he's been better for us than Shearer
  8. A bit of crunch with some spice never hurt anyone
  9. I've never heard anything that makes me want Liverpool to win the league more
  10. Nope we've done it before and been burned every single time
  11. Quite possibly. If he wasn't on loan from us in the first place, I'd expect some serious interest in him from the other PL teams Unlike some of our past loans he's actually gone to a half decent team, and contributed a fair bit in a league that is regularly cherry picked, so deserves some attention.
  12. Well he won't have many options unless he's willing to take a pay cut. His age and injury record is a massive obstacle for him moving to any English team that isn't a step down from us. He's not going to be first choice for anyone at the minute while he spends half the time in the treatment room. Although given Man U's recent transfer absurdity, I could see an Owenesque move for him. To be clear I don't think he's anything like Owen
  13. Agree, but we need a right sided attacker and at least one striker who can stay fit for more than 3 games in a row without getting injured or looking knackered after 30 mins
  14. IF we make an offer, I seriously doubt he'd get a better one than us unless from a Saudi team goes for him
