  1. Would really like to see Dortmund get there if only to demonstrate the difficulty of our group.
  2. Dortmund level of on aggregate again. Savage and the commentator waffling away about God knows what whilst the cross was coming in.
  3. Brilliant finish from Correa
  4. Yep. Dortmund home game, a massive part of their (very effective) gameplan was 'shut Trippier down'. Man Utd was one of his, if not the, best performances in a Newcastle shirt.
  5. Being annoyed by people being unduly harsh on the team is totally routine, and I'm sure you've experienced that emotion yourself this season; I was only explaining why I felt the conversation was worth having when you said we'd done it to death (so there was no need for the snark!) Happy to agree to disagree on the decision; no one will ever convince me that the offside law in the age of VAR isn't absolute bullshit.
  6. It was correct in that an arrangement of pixels showed a person's shoulder to be on the 'wrong' part of a screen, but that's as much as I'm prepared to concede. It was a perfectly good goal in any real terms and it's annoying that anyone would grief the team before rolling their eyes at that obscenely fussy decision.
  7. It's a horseshit decision transported into the game from digital football so I'd sooner blame that than our supposed wrong mentality.
  8. / VAR miracle obstructing a 2-goal lead.
  9. What's your match ratings average sayin'?
  10. Why wouldn't they, I guess. Remember that iconic kit? Here's a worse version of it! Ten million pounds, please.
  11. I'd be up for us adopting an 'official' away kit which is dark red and blue hoops (in the way that we have an official home kit which is black and white stripes). But that's not how it works, so it's relegated to simply being nostalgia bait.
  12. Hilarious how many steps ahead of the defender Isak is before that ball gets played. The xG was 0.99 the moment Bruno won possession.
  13. There's absolutely no excuse not to have stripes on the back, like. It's a purely commercial choice as it encourages consumers to pay extra for names and numbers. Makes for an easier paint job on Subbuteo figures mind.
  14. That looks decent; it's much better to circumvent the 'fangs' on the hips by making them the same colour as the stripes, than to make them a different colour entirely. It's a pity in a way because they provide the only means for some individualism in what is otherwise a bog-standard template.
