He's pushing Gayle for best player now for sure.

Just looking at the matches we've had this season, with a quick estimate both have them have been the difference between a win/draw and a draw/loss with the goals that they've scored for around 34 points (not the exact figure because in some cases they've both scored in the same match) It's around a 2:1 ratio in Gayle's favour, but that's still really impressive for Richie when you consider the bulk of his goals have come at the turn of the year and his assist rate is very good, too.

I actively avoid knowing anything about other teams and players in the Championship, like. Beyond Knockaert I couldn't name many players in the league, and beyond Brighton and Huddersfield I have to check where a team is in the division before we play them. If we didn't go up that would probably change and I'd end up knowing more, but even being in this absolutely shite league feels like too much of an attachment for me to have with it.

Wondering if they mean Josh Morris, not John (who I've never heard of). If so, that's based purely on his goal scoring run at the start of the season. He's been utter shit since December.

The list is a poll of fans by the way, nothing more.

Could you imagine if we had managed to sign Knockheart at the beginning of the season, him and Ritchie in the same team and Brighton severely weakened, we probably would have been up weeks ago already.

Omar f***ing Bogle? Just had to look him up, and he only joined the championship in January and has scored 3 goals in 12 games for Wigan, yet he is rated in 16th place. Madness.

When he had his mid-season dip I started wondering whether there was a reason he had to drop down from the PL. But he's really pushed on lately and looks very much ready for the PL next season. Stoked with him.

Apart from when he shouts and gets passionate. You hate that.

Play him with quality players in the PL (few pacy one's) and I'm absolutely certain that he'd look the part there as well.

He's such a good footballer and an intelligent one at it.
