  1. It wasn't for me. It asked me to sign up and I just clicked the X then read the article.
  2. Click the link on the tweet. It's not hard.
  3. Fucking crazy that people are talking about moving Howe on. Give your heads a shake. Still 100% backing from me. 4th last year, and the escape the year before, were miracles. This year, 4th was always going to be much harder than last year just because of the extra games, and other teams strengthening around us. 7th would've always been an "OK" season this year. Throw in Tonali's ban and an injury crisis the likes of which we've never seen before and the season is a write-off. We just need to limp home and try again next year. If 7th was decent coming into this season, 11th isn't sacking level when you consider the above too. It's barely even disappointing. If anything, it's inevitable given what's happened. I'd be gutted if he left, and absolutely devastated if some dinosaur like Mourinho came in to replace him.

Agree. There's a massive housing shortage in this country and all those already with houses and a 'NIMBY' attitude are preventing the next generation getting on the ladder they've gleefully pulled up behind themselves. But that's probably not for this thread!

Because aside from the Hoppings, it's of neither use nor interest to almost anyone at all. It's one thing to say "isn't it nice we have it?", but how often do you or indeed anyone actually go there? And to do what? For almost all of us, it just exists. It could be infinitely better used. Could put a football stadium on it for starters.

    St James' Park

It may be unique but that's no reason to keep it. There's good reasons why no other city has "an expanse of agricultural land with grazing cattle in the heart of the city".

Yeah the Town Moor is shit. It just exists, it's not really used in any way. Its only justification for existing in its current state is the freemen of Newcastle and their "grazing rights", but come on, it's 2024. Nobody cares about this anymore and it has no relevance in modern times, but yet it prevents anything being done with what would otherwise be a wonderful green space.

Good point. Maybe the planning permission will go more smoothly if a part of the plan we fit Leazes Terrace with surface to air missiles to prevent any airspace incursions?

Flatten the current stadium and turn it into a giant multi storey car park with some massive escalators at each corner. Then build a 100,000 seater flying stadium that we keep up in the clouds (everyone's big on cloud storage these days, yes?), except on match days it flies in and sits over the car park escalators. Added bonus that we can adjust the lift slightly at half time so the opposition always has to shoot uphill.
  10. This. Him or ASM would be leagues better than anyone to pull on their shirt in a decade. They'd both walk into their famous "all-time XI"s. Whatever they're worth, Clarke is worth far less. What's he done in top flight football? Literally nothing.
  11. Didn't we get £20m for ASM? And loads on here were saying that was right? Are those saying Clarke will go for the same thinking he's as good a player? If ASM is only worth £20m, they'll be lucky to get £10m for Clarke.
  12. No thanks. I quite like Colin and he always seems to get results.
  13. They're missing a trick because if they just called a new club "FTM" it would break worldwide attendance records.

    Lewis Hall

I don't think there's any mystery - nobody plays left back ahead of Dan Burn. Targett doesn't, Livramento doesn't, Hall doesn't. It's far less to do with Hall than it is with Burn, IMO.
