I agree but I kiiind of get it, Beardsley was pretty much a spent force by 1997, with his peak over about 18 months between 93-95. Players that shone bright like that, even the brightest, don't get the accolades they maybe should. The biggest one for me is Suarez, as far as individual seasons go, his is probably the best I've seen, but because he wasn't here for a long time and also because he's such an arsehole he gets overlooked in the all-time stakes.

My first and biggest football heartbreak. He's got a point about not being mentioned, but that's the price he paid for going to Man United and being another cog in the machine. It's him and Beardsley never being brought up as the best PL partnership that's a travesty. They're the best there's been yet they're talked about, if at all, as a footnote.
  3. * Ruel Fox was underrated klaxon *
  4. Brilliant interview. Following in the spirit of how these interviews always are in my experience, he's going to have an absolute stinker or get sent off tomorrow. If he doesn't then he's a special case.
  5. Starmer, nor anyone (especially in politics) is going to put who they happen to support ahead of their own material interests man, howeh.
  6. For me it's that it's a shared burden, but because of the way the have and have nots in football are viewed, the strains on the likes of Man City are unacceptable, but the same strains on 90% of the league is a 'get on with it' because it can't possibly be as important. Then it's doubled down on by getting rid of replays, the one thing that the have nots benefit from. It's unbelievably tone deaf and poor me from the football 1%. I swear that football is an allegory for real life at times like and a lot of the shit going on can be explained through similar situations within football.
  7. A day after the FA Cup restructure as well. I know it's not exactly Newsnight but I thought Lineker had an opportunity there that he didn't take.
  8. Not a bad shout if he gets two clean sheets.
  9. Arsenal are very much in the same boring teams people wank over club that Man City are in.
  10. Up there as one of the most hateable teams in Premier League history. Horrible team full of absolute gimps, them being allowed to take a quick free kick with a rolling ball and it never being talked about was really fucking annoying.
  11. It's honestly impressive how bad Chilwell's been this season. Every time he's near the ball he's almost exclusively shit.
  12. Realising that's a massively smaller percentage of his pay than mine is to my mortgage
