  1. Bowen won’t move I reckon. He’s great though. One of the only good things Bruce tried to do was get him in for 17m.
  2. McCormick

    Nick Pope

Howe will see how he’s diving etc. in training and make a decision on him. For all his flaws though it’s nice to have a keeper in Dubs who doesn’t kick it into the stands at every opportunity.
  3. He goes over imo, stupid to put your arms on his back though.
  4. Yikes. That tat is brutal.
  5. Concentration issues aside, this lad would be a beast for us. It’s rare you get a cb with his physical attributes that’s good on the ball and can pass. On a free this would be great business if it comes off. We can then put more funds into securing that much needed right-winger.
  6. He was benched the next game though iirc and was subbed on in the 89th minute. I’m no Real Madrid expert but they’re pretty stacked in forward positions with Endrick and Mbappe coming in. He might think that he’s too good to be a rotation player and wants more regular game-time at this stage of his career? He could be a starter for a lot of good teams imo and that could be in his thinking?
  7. It was a stunt aimed at bringing in investment into the country; unfortunately those bigger multinationals weren’t enticed enough to move their bases from Dubai. Sorry to sound smug but the fact they paid me 7 figures as a consultant on this project (one of many “experts”) while basically just saying “not sure this is feasible, like” is pretty funny tbh. It’ll still go ahead but not as ambitious as they’ve initially laid out. Funds are being diverted to the many international sporting events they’ll be holding in the next few years.
  8. Yep. Can only think of Man City, Chelsea, Forest, Us and Villa being in favour of the change (possibly Everton too?).
  9. The Line, as I expected, won’t be going ahead as originally planned; lot of issues, including lack of funding. Quelle surprise.
  10. Sounds harsh but I don’t think he’ll amount to much more than a mid-table prem player. That’s not bad at all tbf for someone coming through the ranks but I just don’t see what outstanding attributes he possesses to make it to the top. Personally think he’ll be a victim of our post-takeover ambition along with FFP requirements,
  11. Heard he’s a regular at Toby’s every Sunday too. Good to see he’s abandoning all that foreign muck for some actual culture.
  12. Was about to say something similar. He’d be a good fit for them without necessarily guaranteeing success in the short-term.
