Concentration issues aside, this lad would be a beast for us. It’s rare you get a cb with his physical attributes that’s good on the ball and can pass. On a free this would be great business if it comes off. We can then put more funds into securing that much needed right-winger.

He was benched the next game though iirc and was subbed on in the 89th minute. I’m no Real Madrid expert but they’re pretty stacked in forward positions with Endrick and Mbappe coming in. He might think that he’s too good to be a rotation player and wants more regular game-time at this stage of his career? He could be a starter for a lot of good teams imo and that could be in his thinking?

It was a stunt aimed at bringing in investment into the country; unfortunately those bigger multinationals weren’t enticed enough to move their bases from Dubai. Sounds harsh but I don’t think he’ll amount to much more than a mid-table prem player. Was about to say something similar. He’d be a good fit for them without necessarily guaranteeing success in the short-term.
